horrible, horrible play calling by Catholic,Dale is calling horrible plays. Conservative, running an option offense with a pure pocket passer, Poor Oliver is a good qb and potential to be great but Dale is handcuffing this kid and is getting killed by Weiners playcalling

Whats new? I lost chances to play for and to win a state championship because of it.

CHS will always have the talent at RB...thats why we option so much.

Since 2000, we have had at least one back go D1 every year

The running back tradition at CHS is one that unprecedent NATIONALLY.

I am still blown away that they are trying to run the option with Oliver. He should have had 30 attmpts and 250+ yds passing against STM on friday night. he could have thrown the out route under our coverage and the seam route through our coverage and picked up 7yrds at a pop.

Instead they tried to spread out the STM defense and use an average running QB with a rifle arm as a pitchman?

I just don't get it.

What is new?

At least when I was there we had the best back in the state and ample options out at WR/HB and we still found a way to come up ringless.

Could be wrong....but I am pretty sure that is a totally false statement.

Name them by year and I'll listen...but like I said....dont think its true.

I don't know if every year is true but they had one go to Memphis, one to Stanford, a couple to maybe New Mexico St, that's all I can remember, but I also don't remember the names.

2001, excuse me (the 2000 team at a 1000 yard TB)

These are guys that PLAYED TB at CHS

Greg Skidmore - Northwestern State
Tasmin Knockum - University of Memphis
Brandon Harrison - Stanford
Dremell Adams- SLU
Julius Fleming - New Mexico State
Jeremy Stewart - Stanford University
Henry Minor - University of Central Arkansas
Todd Lee - New Mexico State
Marcus Thomas - Naval Academy

And you can go back to Jermaine Hatch, Corey Gaines, Kevin Franklin, Warrick Dunn, Aaron Boone, Kendrick Shanklin..etc

I put that list up against any other schools in the country in the past twenty years, and I bet they wont top it.

5 guys that played in the NFL/CFL.

over the past 20 years... two words..

St. Augustine...

Leroy Hoard, Tyronne Hughes, Derek Lewis, Louis Age, Roland Seymour, Reynoch Thompson and I know I am missing some.... St. Aug = more players in NFL than all but 2 HS programs in the country in last 30 years...

and the backs you listed are NOT unprecendented nationally... come on....

back on the past twenty years...

a few more schools trump the bears.. you want me to name them I can.. but... for starters..

John Ehret.. Reggie Wayne and Kordell stewart.....and there are more where that came from....

Newman for that matter the two from there top a LOT...

I was just referring to running backs that came out of catholic, not NFL players or players in general.

But Catholic is about to have 4 straight D-1 QBs too
