but the I-Bowl did get butthurt when Tech tried to big league them, this is fact
no, they didn't want to get stuck with a 6-6 Central Michigan which there was a high risk of. Everything else does not matter. They wanted to get the best matchup possible and waiting to be La tech's sloppy seconds was a risk they weren't willing to take.
Too GD bad for La Tech. They are completely at fault no matter how hard they try to pass the buck.

Monroe is deserted today. All the bandwagoners are over in Shreveport.
Where are they? The stadium looks empty in tv

You might want to wait before you laugh at ULM. I doubt this game is decided 3 minutes into it.

LOL at that crowd
Pathetic
looks like they have more than the typical La Tech home game.

Is this a pathetic attempt at an in-game thread?

Is the Indy bowl not sold out? I'm just wondering how they are gonna eat this so called "mistake" because from everything I've heard or read recently, it seems to be working for all parties involved and Tech still looks stupid
No, not sold out. Plenty of hotel rooms still available.

since when does the Indy Bowl ever sell out?
Posted on 12/28/12 at 1:17 pm to Dr RC
Don't know. I was just answering his question.

All I know is there are about 15k people there and it looks completely embarrassing on TV.

listed capacity is 53k. 2007 "had" 47k at the game.
That was a 6-6 Bama and a 6-6 CU. I know CU doesn't travel well so you're telling me Bama put over 45k into the seats for that? I guess but that would be one of the rare times the Indy Bowl was fairly packed in recent memory.

The I-Bowl used to be a great game and they pulled some great teams (LSU, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Alabama, Oklahoma, Auburn, Arkansas, Michigan State, Mizzou, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Miss State). What happened?

When it had the Big 12/SEC tie ins
Georgia- A&M
Ole Miss- Nebraska
Off the top of my head.
And of course the LSU games back in the day

You might want to wait before laughing at ULM. I'm 100% positive that La Tech will not win more bowl games this year than the Warhawks.

I was at Georgia/A&M
no f-ing way that was a sell out. Georgia filled maybe half their seats and A&M pulled maybe 3/4 of what we were given.
I just looked at the listed attendance.
They had it at 49k. Sorry, no way there were that many people at the game.
If it was a "sellout" it was the kind where a ton of tickets got dumped on a charity organization for tax breaks.

He might not want to laugh at all, considering what bowl his team is in.

I remember it looking like a sellout. They do close off some sections there so I'm not sure if they sell 53,000 tickets.
2006 was full too

Bad tie ins. Poor promotion and management for TV deals. More bowls in better locations (i.e. warm climates)

Yeah, and I think they went one year without a sponsor when they lost the good conference tie ins. They may lose Advocare. The head man is a Tech alumn.
