I think it will be Kyrie, Klay, Westbrook, Harden, Anthony, Durant, George, Kawhi, Aldridge, Cousins, Draymond, and LeBron.

Only weakness is point guard defense if Kyrie isn't paired with good defenders, but Kawhi and Klay can mask that. You just can't play Kyrie and Harden together.

Next up: Lillard, Faried since he was so good in 2014, and Wall.

If anyone wonders why Spain declared war on the US in the Fall, just wait an hour for the tape delay to air.

Smart man. He probably doesn't want to risk getting Zika either.

I bet we will see a lot more who will not go.

Health has erased 6 of 31 names from Team USA's roster: Steph Curry; LaMarcus Aldridge; Chris Paul; Blake Griffin; Anthony Davis; John Wall

Apparently Wall and Aldridge are out too

so basically Lillard is lock if Wall is out

Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant, meanwhile, tells ESPN's @RoyceYoung he is indeed still planning to play for Team USA this summer in Brazil.

Durant is in

PG is a situation for us if Westbrook is out too. Kyrie and Lillard are good PGs for the most part but I'm not sure about them in international play. Conley is the only other PG I think on the Team USA roster.

Durant being in is great though.

Damn, Aldridge is out. I was hoping he would play. We have a dearth of bigs and he would be perfect.

I guess this is what we may have:

Kyrie, Westbrook, Lillard
Klay, Harden
Durant, James, Kawhi, George, Anthony
Draymond, Cousins (could have been Towns if he didn't commit to the Dominicans so long ago).

Looks like we will play LeBron or maybe even Paul George at center and go super small and fast for decent portions of the game.

Also Aldridge being out means we almost certainly take 2 true Centers. 2 of Demarcus/Deandre/Drummond.

Kyrie was the player of the tournament in the 2014 Worlds.

Only problem is putting a line-up with him and Harden as the two guards on defense. Fortunately, there are a lot of good defenders who seem interested in playing.

Even if LeBron opts out, the 3/4 is strong with Anthony, Durant, George (all of whom are very interested) and hopefully Kawhi.

I bet not. Most guys play up a position internationally, there will be an extra guard before we take 2 true centers imo.

Obviously the question is if a guy like Durant plays, or if Carmelo plays. I think Carmelo might opt out, I suspect Durant does but I'll keep him in for now.

Carmelo has a chance to be the all time Team USA leading scorer.

It's probably going to be his greatest achievement, so he should play.

Harden out too. Down to 6 guards on the roster and 3 of those are Beal, Conley and Derozan who are FA. Wonder if they'll add anyone and who it would be? McCollum, Thomas, Redick, Lowry maybe

Going to be tough for Team USA to bring home the gold without Harden's leadership.
