quote:This is always so deceiving. He should have been suspended for what he did in the OKC series, maybe not even making the finals. That said, he wasn’t suspended because of that one specific incident, he was automatically suspended because he had too many cumulative technical fouls. If he hadn’t racked up so many techs. That said, they lost by 15 at home, and they couldn’t get any closer than 6 in that last quarter and a half. It’s not like they lost a nail biter. Heck. We saw what they did this past series when Draymond went out. They dominated that game.
With a little help from the league in suspending Draymond.

Not to mention, GS had 2 more chances after game 5, including 1 home game.
It's such a lame excuse for what was also a deserved flagrant foul.
If you're the better team, you win the series and missing your 3rd best player for 1 game isn't a valid excuse.

AI won the Finals MVP in 2015, for holding LeBron to 35.8, 13.3, and 8.8
Curry got robbed. Steph averaged 26ppg and was a flamethrower at the end of Game 5 (37 pts, 17 in the 4th quarter) to go up 3-2 when the Cavs had taken a lead in the 4th. Iggy had 14 lol in the whole game. If it wasn't for Curry's performance, LeBron is coming home for a Game 6 up 3-2.
Oh and Steph had 13 pts in the fourth quarter of Game 6 as well.

The Heatles were all in the same draft class.
Next question.

The Lebron era stretches 20 years. He clearly isn't the best anymore....and probably not for the past 4 seasons. But, his peak lasted a very long time.
I'm not a Lebron's the GOAT guy. He's not, and his play is a jacked up Magic's. He's been fun to watch the last two decades and helped the NBA narrative.

The dude in his 20th year isn't playing at a peak level, you figured it out!!!
Is he getting paid at a peak level? Then he's expected to perform at a peak level.

DWade averaged 33 minutes in the playoffs in the last Heatles season. including 35 mpg in the finals at age 32.
Nice try, but next question.

He was limping into half these games and was a shell of himself and you know it
In Lebron’s 2nd ring D Wade snagged 15.9/4.6/4.8 with a 45.9 eFG% in the playoff run
That sound like D Wade to you?

So he wasn’t playing 20 mpg and actually playing much more. Correct?

Correct
You insinuated that the Heat players must all be in their prime because they were drafted the same year. Wade was a really good role player for a good portion of those Heat teams.
That’s a terrible take by you.

It is wild that Steph Curry is 35 years old.

His points and shooting went back up the following year you cited…so sounds like you’re not very informed. His usage being down, because all 3 were in their prime. Wade was the first to decline.
Terrible spin by you.

If I had to pick one player in their prime for a playoff run, it would be Steph. If I had to pick one player now, it would be Steph. The only career stretch that I would take Lebron are the first three years of their respective careers.
I can’t believe anyone upvoted this bullshite.

It’s hilarious lol. I love Curry but there isn’t a scenario on earth I’m taking him over Lebron. Durant too for that matter

This has to be one of the dumbest posts of all time that completely backfired

The funny thing is that OP was most likely trolling. Its the ones who actually agree that are the hilarious ones.

quote:Way late to this, but even if Curry should have been ahead of AI, LeBron still should have been MVP of that series. I think he made have been 2nd in voting, but there is some idea that regardless of that happens, the winner must be the MVP. In fact, LeBron was the best player in 2 of the finals he lost, including the 2014 against Spurs. That Spurs team was just one of the GOATs, winning 62 games without a single player averaging more than 30 points per game, and just masterful basketball after an inexplicably close 1st round. That said, at least Kawhi was close enough where it wasn’t a pure snub. But 2015 was a snub.
Curry got robbed.

quote:Yeah, but a shell of himself was still a starter-level player. But it was pretty obvious, particularly as the playoff progressed that his knees were just not allowing him to do anything close to the things he could do even the season before. And he was a player who relied on the explosiveness he no longer had.
So he wasn’t playing 20 mpg and actually playing much more. Correct?
