Not a Lebron or Curry fan buuuuut…….
The East was not nearly as stacked as the West after Kyrie left the Cavs. I would also say the East has been a relative cakewalk until recent years. You had maybe 3 teams that could compete with whomever came out the Western Conference. Even Lebron’s Super team in Miami lost to the Spurs & Mavs. So, him “dragging” a team to the finals is admirable but not as daunting as you would believe.
Now, to Steph. He should have been MVP of the first championship team in 2015.
During the down years, Steph was hurt and missed 3/4ths of the season. I believe it was October and he didn’t return until March/April of the next year.
Now, Steph was “still” the leader of that team during the KD years. His presence allows for the type of shots KD & Klay received. KD, although he would never publicly admit it, made a mistake by leaving GS.
Who else with his stature came into the NBA and changed the way offense and defense is played?
Lebron, Giannis, KD, Joker, Embiid, etc. The NBA is still a big man’s game.
Lebron is just blessed with every physical gift you can imagine for a basketball player and has taken advantage of it.
I would say this is the Steph era because he has changed it. Best player-no. Steph doesn’t shot the mid-range like he did when coming into the NBA. Nor, do I think that he gets a friendly whistle like most superstars.

Why is it a mistake for KD to leave? He will never get credit for those rings, for all of the reasons you just said. He needs to win rings without 3 hall of famers to cement himself in the top 10.

Yeah but how many books has Steph started?

So you admit you have zero proof. So in other words you're only speculating.
YOU HAVE NO PROOF THIS SUPPOSED HATE CRIME EVEN OCCURRED, DO YOU HAVE THE ALLEGED PHOTO LEBRON'S MAID OR WHOEVER GAVE THE POLICE??
Remember, NEITHER LEBRON NOR HIS FAMILY were in LA when this allegedly happened
Here are the facts of the matter, so if you have any facts and sources to rebut this then speak up Sherlock:
1. The graffiti was painted over and not visible when police arrived.
2. Not only was LeBron's $21 million dollar mansion's security camera "mysteriously" not working at the time this alleged crime occurred, no one else's surveillance in this exclusive rich neighborhood picked up footage of the alleged perpetrator either, isn't that suspicious? I mean this is a heavily secure neighborhood.
3. Not a SINGLE photo was taken of this alleged vandalism by anyone else outside the alleged photo LeBron's employee gave to the police, LA is an early-rising community, the police were called at 6:44 a.m., the sun rises over there at that time of year at 5:30 a.m. not a single person in that neighborhood took a pic or posted that on social media or probably even saw it. You're telling me in the age where everything goes viral, this would not have flooded social media? THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN VISIBLE ON THE STREET FOR PROBABLY TWO HOURS BY THEN.
THAT MF FAKED THAT ENTIRE shite OUT AND FILED A FALSE POLICE REPORT, THAT'S THE ONLY CONCLUSION I CAN INFER FROM THESE FACTS.

Another title for curry this season would seal his superiority over LeBron. Facts

What if he beats LeBron AGAIN in a playoff series?
But yeah beating LeBron in the playoffs THEN surpassing him in Finals wins will be a mountaintop accomplishment for Steph.

Well, after thinking more, KD doesn’t care about championships. If he did, he wouldn’t have left. KD wanted control. He got that in Brooklyn. Didn’t end well.
IF he care about championships, he wouldn’t have left.

He has said that he wasn’t happy after winning those championships. And the warriors never embraced him. There was stories that the whole team lived in the east bay except KD, he lived in SF. Never hung out with the team. Green said we don’t need you, etc.

And that explains KD. Guys sacrificed a lot even though they were already winning. Change who you are for me, yet I guarantee nothing long term to you. Why would the entire team uproot for KD when he could have moved anywhere he wanted to, yet decided against being near teammates? Did he expect the influence Steph has on the organization to go away? Hell, he has that effect on the entire league.
Folks relate to Steph. Smallish (in NBA stature), but developed a lethal shot and dribbling skill to overcome the Goliaths. The stars in the NBA talked crap because he wasn’t “hood” or from impoverished beginnings. But, they came around. Steph makes the game easy for all his teammates.
Harden is one of my favorite players from his days in Houston & OKC. He left and I selfishly wish he would have stayed because he was Rockets basketball. For some reason, behind the scenes, these situations get toxic away from the court.

Blew a 3-1 to LeBron in the Finals and got locked up by Kevin Love /endthread

With a little help from the league in suspending Draymond.
Kevin Love has NEVER locked anyone up defensively. A rebounding machine in Minny, yes.

yet he locked up Curry in the final minute and Curry heaved a brick that hit nothing but backboard. Embarrassing.
Draymond brought that shite on himself by accruing over 16 flagrant/technical foul points. All the league did is assign a technical for that nut punch.

If you want to bring up the East during those years, you have to bring up how many times the Warriors got face injury-riddled teams. The only time they faced the whole Lebron/Kyrie/Love trio they lost. The guy you are saying surpasses Lebron blew a 3-1 lead in The Finals. Something no one else has ever done.
Klay Thompson missed 2 years in a row. The Warriors were irrelevant for 2 whole years of Steph Curry career. They booted on those seasons too because they knew they were going nowhere. Says a lot.
Finally Steph anchored a 73-9 team that lost to Lebron and then begged another all-star to come join him to beat Lebron.
He’s ab amazing shooter and he has changed the game because of range. He will be a big footnote in the Lebron era when we look back.

OP has overwhelming evidence and crowd support that
Curry > LeBum
Curry > LeBum

I’d put Durant in front of LeBron as well. Head to head when it mattered, Durant owned him.

If he's not on a team with Klay and KD, he likely isn't winning the conference, let alone an NBA title.
I think this is such a dumb argument, of course Curry needs good teammates to win a championship, as does LeBron (Wade, Bosh, Kyrie, Love, Davis) as did Jordan, Bird, Magic, Kobe and everyone else that ever won a championship.
quote:
LBJ can and has dragged shitastic rosters deep into the playoffs and to the finals. As good as Curry is, he can't carry a bad team.
This is flawed, no need to discuss the flaws. But it exemplifies the point that to win championships, you need good teammates. LeBron’s “bad teams” never sniffed a championship. He needed elite teammates to win.
