The game has changed, and Steph is a generational basketball player, but has the game changed for the better because of his style of play?

Difficult question to answer. I grew up on Bird and Jordan, so am aware of how soft today's game is in comparison to that era. But it's hard to blame the greatest pure shooter of all time for just playing to his strengths.
Either way, for one guy to change the way an entire professional league plays the game just speaks to what an all-time great he is.

Thats a shitload of 3s with lots of world championships to go with it

Even if other players can get hot like steph now there is just something different and iconic about a steph curry hot streak from downtown with the release and everything. Its just art.

What first started out as beautiful Basketball has turned into boring and stale.
It will be funny if this trend continues and Curry’s credit for making the 3 ball so essential will actually turn into a huge negative
I personally think he gets to much credit for the movement. I think Morey is the one who finally realized 3 balls and layups >>>> mid range game

Not sure how you can watch Curry play and have the words "boring" or "stale" enter your mind.

NBA offenses are as efficient as they’ve ever been in the three-point era. Don’t see how the three pointer turns into a negative anytime soon

Not all change is good.

Make it worth 2.5 points

A lot of people talking about how Curry changed the game, and he did, but the NBA was headed towards more shooting anyways. I think some people think every guard in the NBA plays with Curry’s style now, but if we’re being honest no player in history has played with his style.
In a lot of ways I think he’s underrated. Some people kind of just think of him as the ultimate shooter, and he is, but watching the clip below, he’s also maybe the greatest shot creator of all time.
It’s been 10 years since his first MVP season and I’ve yet to see any player even come close to imitating the stuff he did.

It's crazy Larry Bird only attempted 1700.

Guess you haven’t noticed the massive recent decline in viewership due to these “efficient offenses”
