"Rooney Rule," which requires league teams to interview minority candidates for head coaching and senior football operation jobs, only one of the five recent head coaching vacancies was filled by a minority.

This is an unnecessary as fairness ordinances. Which coach, other than Jerry Jones, isn't going to hire the best candidate for the job, regardless of race or other factors.

Well you always hear the league is high percentage black but coaches are not as high, but the idea that it requires the same skill set to run a fade route as running a football program is laughable.

White guys can't stay in the game and go pro so they get forced into the coaching ranks much earlier because their playing careers end earlier. That gives them a leg up when it comes to coaching experience and working their way up the coaching ranks.

Why is this so hard to figure out? More white guys go into coaching because they can't physically play.

Sell? If he's so altruistic he should just sign the deed over.

White men having success at anything is the "problem" they are trying to solve.

Black people are better athletes on average due to genetics. Are white people better coaches due to genetics?

Why are blacks so successful in athletics? Merit of course.

Why are Asians so successful in academia? Merit of course.

Why are Jewish people so successful in business? Merit of course.

Why are White people so successful in (anything)? Racism.

Marvin Lewis is like I'm just interviewing so they don't get fined.

Instead of the Rooney rule, I think the NFL should develop an academy for Ex Players to get into coaching and front office jobs. Like full on academy, and instead of the Rooney rule, teams should be required to take on some ex players as GAs and interview them at the least for lower level coaching and executive jobs. I personally think that would be more effective than saying "You have to interview a minority"

They already do that.
