I don't think a pro team would do too well in Nebraska. Even football.

The Omaha UFL team gets it's support, but Nebraska is a college sports state and always will be.

Really surprised Virginia doesn't have one.

Nevada (Las Vegas) will be the first of those to get a team.

Just curious, what states have the most amount of teams? I imagine New York has the most, unless you relegate some of them into Jersey or something.

ETA: Texas maybe.

Nebraska only has about 1.8 million people as well. That's a big factor.

Yep.

Add in the lifelong fans of NFL teams in the area... Chiefs/Broncos/Vikings etc.. and the support will be even less.

where would they go? Richmond?

There has been talk of moving the Redskins to NOVA, but not sure that would really count

Jersey is the 2nd wealthiest state in the country and has the highest population density of any state and only has the Devils(after the Nets move to NYC).

Add Sabres and Bills, if you're using the state of New York.

So Cali has 11 and NY has 10.

Almost half the states in the US don't have ONE and California has 11

Connecticut for both.

maybe - but that means Hartford most likely (and they just are not a perfect place to host a big time pro team)

I would probably go KY or Virginia - probably VA

The main problem for Connecticut is that it's basically between Boston and NYC. That doesn't translate to success.

I lived there when i was in college and they did have a small passionate following for the Whalers - but mostly the state was focused on UCONN basketball

Plus Hartford is just not all that big of a city - and rural CT has a lot of people who are not really from CT
