IDK if it'll happen, but if I'm FSU I'm trying to argue significantly increased travel costs affect the media value and render the GOR void.

This has to be posturing to sway ND to join. That’s the only way to get a new media deal and save the conference at this rate

What other P5 choice do they have? It doesn’t sound like the Big 12 wants them, and it’s riding a hope and prayer to think the Pac-4 can save itself at this rate

Stanford is a crown jewel for an athletic conference.
ETA:
133 NCAA championships, 160 overall national championships. Absurd endowment, private school, otherworldly academics.
If I'm them, I'm using my leverage to get a sweetheart deal from someone and just stay independent until then.
