The NFL will never see another taxpayer blackmail dollar in the state of Missouri. Screw them.

2 strikes and you're out. No chance.

That dome is a dump though - sterile, dark and depressing.

Why did they leave again?

The last 13 or so years when the Rams were in STL and barely a .500 team, the Edward Jones dome would still get some 55,000-60,000 fans at every game. It’s been 10 years since they last played in STL. They also have a very large and strong TV market.

I don’t think this has anything to do with why a team moves. Owning a team is much more about real Estate development now. Frankly doesn’t matter what fans think or feel. All that matter is what owners/league think (and how they want to use their money). “Deserves”? frick your feelings. NFL isn’t running a day care.

Move the Saints there. New Orleans is a minor league city in a minor league state with minor league people.

But yet the league feels it is good enough to host its marquee event? (At least for now)

Based on what? We got ourselves a regular Todd McShay here. Current lease is through 2035. The current succession plans has the team staying. But if anyone can frick something up it is the state of Louisiana

Hell no. Saints used to lose to those crappy late St. Louis era rams teams and it would sound like a walkthrough until the 4th quarter because no one was there.

BS

St.Louis is a depressing market.

University of Wyoming was more exciting than 40,000 actually attending in StLouis, sitting on their hands.

They may have sold 55,000 seats……they weren’t in the stadium.

And yet the NHL continues to give (or strongly consider) franchises in Atlanta. But let’s be honest, those ATL are merely a stopping point until they get relocated to Canada. Lol

I’d say going 15-65 over four year period, the worst ever in NFL history, and knowing that they were moving, may have contributed to that. But, what do I know ?

If STL said no to the MLS in regards to public funding for a stadium, the NFL will never stand a chance.

MLS is to soccer as UFL is to football. The bigger obstacle for the NFL is the bad blood.

So you agree no one was there. I wasn't saying it was unjustified just refuting his very wrong take.

St. Louis Chargers.

Lets be honest, there's no lightning in Los Angeles. And LA is in love with St. Louis' ex the Rams.

Cheap, don’t have to worry about the Saints having deep playoff runs, and dumb yankees love “walkability” because they can’t drive for shite anyways.
