Does that strike anyone as weird for any reason?

They had a game like that last year if I recall correctly.

San Jose State had a 9am kickoff back in 2003. Earliest college football local time broadcast ever.

Pretty silly to take a team out to L.A. a week after you hosted Duke. There's the best conference in America to contend with, too. St. John's wins this game, though, and they can get to the tourney with only about 17 wins.

If fatigue is a factor in your mind, I'd disagree. Two 40-minute games a week doesn't make men this age tired.

No, the move looks smart now because they beat Duke as bad as Duke could get beaten. Now, they're playing one of the more mortal UCLA teams of the last 7 years. St. John's, however, has made it appear off to a good start. It's a scheduling thing. You already have 7-8 top 25 teams and some of them you play twice. And I was assuming that they had a midweek game, but if they didn't, then no - that doesn't hurt them. BUT...when and where is their next Big east game?

They played and won at Rutgers Wednesday. I think you misunderstood my "two games a week" thing a bit.

At MSG vs. Connecticut Thursday.

UCLA was given that game, being in bonus that early then the poor decision by officials on video reviews.
