The play to cap off Brees Super Bowl was Porters INT for a TD.
Many factors went into that game that weren't Brees
And? Many factors that weren't Brady went into Brady's wins too. Brees had a damn good game and is a huge reason the Saints won that SB. Not the only, but he's probably the most important. Remember that the Saints were still winning whenever Porter made that int.

yeah, that onside kick was one of the most gutsiest things I've ever seen.
Garcon had that big dropped pass too.
Garrett Hartley became the first kicker in Super Bowl history to hit 3 field goals of forty yards or more.
But Brees played mistake free football that entire post season. Manning could not say the same as we all know

I was waiting on someone to throw out the whole Tracy Porter thing as a thing against Brees. Thats a load a crap

You cant just throw out 9 AFC East Championships, 7 AFC Championship game appearances, 5 AFC Championships, and 3 SB rings.
So where does Tedy Bruschi fall in the GOAT argument he has all the same stats

Aaron Rodgers is on pace to pass all of these guys
eta: Statistically so far he's on a completely different level. Brees, Brady and Manning are all pretty close, but A Rodge is way out in front

I truly feel privileged to have watched the full professional careers of some of the greatest of all time at thier respective position.
Montana, Rice, Lawrence Taylor, Dion sanders, Barry Sanders, Michael Joran, Shaq, Ronnie Lott etc etc

Actually he has 3 less AFC East Championships, 1 less AFC Championships, and 2 less AFC championship appearances
But to answer you question seriously, this is a discussion about GOAT QBs, so i dont think Teddy Brushi has much clout

He is in everything other than possibly compiling stats due to his moderately late start. This is factual, which makes me wonder if you know what "on pace" means.

no he isn't. He's 29 and there is no way Green Bay can keep all of those stud WRs
You don't think maybe Rodgers makes those guys better than they really are? Kinda like Brees and Brady do. I mean, the only legit stud in GB is Greg Jennings.

You do know who you're talking to right?

Really not fair to have LT and Ray Lewis in the same category.
While both are "linebackers", inside/middle LB and outside LB are 2 totally different positions.
LT is the best OLB, hands down. I think, in my lifetime, Singletary was the best MLB.

At the same time. Did Montana make Rice, did Rice make Montana? Or are they both pretty good..
Montana won 2 SuperBowl MVPS before Rice entered the NFL. Rice went to two SuperBowl after Montana left the league.

Are you talking about Yards after catch or yards after contact?

In 81 Montana had an elite D and probable the 2nd best receiver duo in the NFL.
In 84 he had the same elite D and WRs but now also had one of the best backfields in NFL History.
Montana was a really good player who played on GREAT teams

Yards after catch. Pretty sure yards after contact isn't an official stat.

t's Montana vs Brady
No offense, but that's not even close.

Packers were 4th
New England & New Orleans were 1-2

YAC per reception is a better stat. Packers and Pats both 5.8, Saints 5.3. Both Brady and Rodgers have benefited from outstanding weapons.
Brady has proven he can get it done without the weapons(with much less gaudy passing #s), Rodgers has not proven it and regardless his #s are bound to go down once some of those WRs are gone
