He's not good enough to start for most teams and he causes too much drama to be a backup.

I would take Kaepernick over jay cutler and he is better then a lot of second strings.

Cutler is in Miami. Signing Kaep would be a slap in the face to the city's largest minority.

Backups are expected to keep their heads down and their mouths shut and not make any waves. Kaep sucks at that.

Which to me was why he did it. Job security, they'd be called racist if they fire me. But he sucked that bad.

LOL at people that believe that.

It's becoming a good litmus test to see who doesn't know much about football.

3 games into the season there's no qb he would be a clear upgrade over.

He is better than half the starting quarterbacks in the league.

I woulndnt go with half, but probably 5-7.

Mike Glennon, Case Keenum(in for Bradford), Josh McCown, Jay Cutler, and Brian Hoyer are guys Id say he is definitely better than.

Deshawn Kizer(rookie) and Jacoby Brisset(young guy) are two guys that he is probably better than but Id take them because of their upside.

He'd already started to slip off the national radar before he started this shite, tbh.

List me 15, I'll wait.

If he's so good why did he go 2-14? Read option is dead, the king of running it was cam and its being changed because it takes a toll on the body. Teams like Cleveland are trying to tank as well as try to develop a young player they invested in. He's not going to win them 7 games but he's gonna win a game or two more than Kizer and that's not good for them.

Andy Dalton has no OL so Kaep won't be better. Watson is a rookie. Bradford has played better the last 2 years. Wentz and Goff are young but shown a lot of progress going into year 2. Alex Smith is a better manager.

So I'll wait for the 15. I can name maybe 5, but he's not such a clear upgrade that will make a team a playoff caliber team. That's a fact.

Glennon is a placeholder for a #2 overall pick. Keenum is a backup whose main job is to hold a clipboard and not cause a circus.

McCown and Cutler play in cities where Kaep's antics are particularly odious. (McCown is in New York where over 2500 Americans were murdered simply because they were America's.)

Hoyer has the job Kaep quit.

It's absurd that the "kaep isn't playing because he's being blackballed by racist NFL owners" narrative took off in the first place. Especially when others did it and kept their jobs.

He's a one trick pony who was last seen sliding into obscurity setting records like getting sacked 5 times/throwing for fewer than 5 yards in a game, then turning around and opting out of his contract trying to hold out for more money/starting money.

Love his protest or hate it, it's not the reason he's not in the league right now. Never was.

One thing Fidel Castro did do is they have the highest literacy rate because they invest more in their education system than they do in their prison system, which we do not do here even though we’re fully capable of doing that,

Found a great article by Armando Salguero about Kaepernick wearing the Fidel shirt (which is when he said that quote).
LINK to article

I'll post Salguero's response:
quote:

“One thing Fidel Castro did do is they have the highest literacy rate because they invest more in their education system than they do in their prison system, which we do not do here even though we’re fully capable of doing that,” Kaepernick said.

Is this real life?

First, Cuba does not have the highest literacy rate. Second, don’t be surprised if the same people who report Cuba’s admittedly high literacy rate are related to those who report its election results — the ones in which the Castros get 100 percent of the votes.

Third, could it be Cuba doesn’t have to invest a lot in its prison system because, you know, dungeons and firing squads (El Paredon) are not too expensive to maintain?

Finally, it’s bizarre that Kaepernick is extolling the education system of a country where people believe launching out into shark-infested seas to flee is a better idea than staying there.

And the closing for the final punch:
quote:

My exchange with Kaepernick ended there, after about three minutes, because I was stunned how someone so outspoken about his beliefs could be so ignorant to facts not up for debate. I suppose he thinks he made salient points in our back and forth.

All he did was expose himself as a fraud.

So wear your Malcolm X shirt that features Fidel Castro, Colin Kaepernick. Wear it around a town where hundreds of thousands of Cuban exiles live with memories similar to mine. Wear it on the field Sunday during pregame if you’re so proud of it.

Show everyone what an unrepentant hypocrite you are.

And then these same anti-anthem idiots acted surprised/outraged when the Dolphins didn't even think 2 seconds about signing the stooge

He's not a good QB, but he's better than some that are starting.

I didn't say he was the greatest, nice strawman.

No one would remember a QB who played in the Super Bowl? If you want to make things up and pretend they're true, have at it. I'll stay right here dealing in this little place called reality.

Injuries took away his speed and effectiveness as a runner
He was never accurate to begin with and losing harbaugh exposed his weaknesses
They tried to focus their rebuild in SF around him but he was just too inconsistent
He was suited to run an offense that nobody runs anymore
He still thinks of himself as a starter but nobody else does
Seems like his pride gets in the way of his few opportunities
He had the perfect backup environment in SEA but he wouldn't accept it so they let him go
He had the backup job in BAL but his GF ruined that
What else is there?
