This has nothing to do with LSU. We'd suck regardless of the rules or who coaches where. We're not a step away from winning a title. If Kentucky didn't exist, it's not like we'd suddenly be hanging banners. We're irrelevant in the grand scheme of college basketball.

This is just as a general fan of college basketball. The man is a plague on the sport. I wish him nothing but ill will.

For the record It seems like maybe Calipari has cleaned up his act at Kentucky, probably bc he doesn't need to cheat anymore with his name recognition and the fact it's Kentucky.
But if you're saying he didn't do some sketchy crap at UMASS and Memphis you are quite naive

He may get guilty of some negligence, but he has never been implicated by the NCAA personally for anything that he has done.

Seriously, don't you think they watch him with a microscope?

Please tell us some things that you think he is doing that are illegal.

Marcus Camby took money from an agent at UMass

DRose had someone take the SAT for him in HS because he failed it twice

what does Calipari have to do with either? You don't think the NCAA investigated? Why was he cleared in both instances?

Tark's in the running, but he at least won his lawsuit against the NCAA. And after he was caught at UNLV, he couldn't get hired anywhere but Fresno St. What I find so appalling about Calipari is how he keeps getting a better job. He's been rewarded for his misdeeds, which makes it all the more galling.

Sutton ended up at Okie St, which isn't awful, but hardly a basketball mecca. Calipari got hired by KENTUCKY. That's one of a handful of the most prestigious jobs in the country. More than anything, that's what gets me so angry about Calipari. The fact he's been rewarded for his behavior.

Because the NCAA was just like, "Naw I'm kinda hungry, let's just not implicate him and go get some some food instead".

I really don't want to argue this bc I'm really no Calipari hater.
But you really think he had no idea this happened? It would be quite a weird coincidence that he went to two straight schools that underwent NCAA violations right after he left

Then why didn't the NCAA implicate him? Especially the second time?

I mean seriously, why would they not?

I wouldn't know. Was Rose even committed to Memphis at this point in time? He was a kid just trying to get a passing score so he could attend college. Since he cant just go straight to the NBA

would it also be weird that he wasn't slapped with any violation in either instance?

Do you believe that Cam Newton or his family got money to go to Auburn?

But Cam nor the school were ever implicated in a scandal by the NCAA.

Anthony Davis according to a retracted Sun-Times article that used anonymous sourcing.

I still don't know what to make of that.

but both schools were implicated by the NCAA in Cal's situations. Just not Cal....because both incidents happened well outside the walls of the campus basketball programs

Slight hijack, but how do all the one-and-doners at Kentucky not negatively affect the graduation rate? It seems like at LSU, every time we get one they talk about how they hurt the program bc of the grad rate.

Seems like they have 5 new one and done players each year. (slightly jealous)

If thise guys still graduate in 7 years, it does not matter that they left early. Reality is that they usually don't though. Besides, something tells me Cal isn't exactly worried about what happens 5 years from now.

I agree on the Roy Williams being a POS part too.

It does but graduation rate doesn't really mean anything.
