I think it is weird Orlando would market him that way when he isn't close to as good as Shaq was in Orlando.

It's just the Superman crap. He's been doing these skits as Clark Kent and Superman. They are never funny and mostly just egotistical crap.
Kid is a great athlete, but has no personality IMO. He's not like Magic, Barkley, Shaq, etc.
It always just seems forced and uncreative.

The whole point of the NBA is to sell things. Even if some of the elite players are only 1% better than the scrubs, they need to market them, get them the most shots, etc so that all the millions of kids will buy their jerseys.
Having said that.. Howard is a pretty impressive athlete, given his size.

I mean more when Magic was a player rather than now. As a player he had charisma. I just don't see it with Howard.

I like Howard as a player and he seems to be a great human being. But ESPN needs to stop encouraging him to be a giant nerd on national TV.

I agree. It isn't even close. In Shaq's 2nd season in the league he had more low post moves than Howard has now.
