Or native Americans?
Well that would be quite a stretching America... All the way back to Africa...And Europe.

Some of you guys took one picture where she looks kinda Indian and made an absurd assumption, first off the guy plays basketball. So does his older sister and brother. How many Indians play basketball? lol.
The mom shows nothing on social media about being Indian. She does have some minor black things, like a black man involved in a shooting.

Yeah even if he was 1/4 Indian someone would’ve found out for sure and made it into a story because good Indian basketball players don’t really exist

It looks like he has an older sister that played lower level college ball. The sister looks 100% light skinned black.
ETA: the West Indies history refresher was interesting though

We know you hate that she’s isn’t black. That’s all this is.
I posted pictures and videos. Where’s your proof she’s anything other than Indian?
She’s a Hindu. Not a Dindu

Literal visual evidence. I’m just gonna assume you are blind.

I think the issue with this thread is we got away from the "dot or feather" definitions, which are a lot more clear.
Or maybe eve "Navajo or Stop-n-go" would suffice.

WTF do you think it means? You haven’t said anything meaningful

There are feather Indians and there are East Indians, aka Asian Indians, aka the ones that own gas stations and hotels and have gotten a very bad rep on the internet as of the past couple years.
The Patels.
Feather Indians OTOH can be referred to as native Americans, First Nations (in Canada), indigenous Americans.
They are all loosely related to each other but we think of them as the same “race” more or less. But some were slender and taller like European and some were very short and stocky.
Mexicans and other Latin Americans are more feather Indian than the average American, of course. But it is a feather Indian that didn’t inhabit these continental states so they are not really respected as such in the same way our native Americans are.
They are also loosely related to the native Americans that lived in Cuba, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, Jamaica, etc. while these people live on through the dna of the current inhabitants of these countries there are not many pure subjects left, if any. But these people were called West Indians by Colombus. Because they lived in the “West Indies” which is still what the British and others call the Caribbean.
The only West Indians I have ever heard of. And it is a term only used historically.

I doubt you are a highly trained racial scientist so I’m not going based off of what you think. If she is Indian and his dad is a typical white guy which he is from what I have seen then where does their super curly hair come in? Indians have even straighter hair than whites do.
I also agree that unless they’re super private it would be a story about him being the first Indian American basketball player. I would be more willing to bet he is part American Indian or black. Or both.

I just means anyone from the West Indies. It's usually used to refer to people from the former British colonies. No one uses West Indian to exclusively refer to the indigenous from the islands.
You'll occasionally have people that incorrectly use the term to refer to the Indian-descended (subcontinent) in the Lesser Antilles and South America.

They have to be the first Final Four team in 50+ years with no 100% black players in their rotation
That Wisconsin team with Kaminsky that beat undefeated Kentucky had one maybe two black guys who played.

Illinois is really not that much closer to Chi vs Purdue, Iowa, and WI. 2.5-4 hour drives.
What makes less sense is that DePaul has been so trash for 40+ years. They literally are in the city. You’d think they’d stumble into some talent that can get them dancing every now & then

Honestly Illinois should be a contender every year having such great talent in and around Chicago every single year. They should be a Duke, UNC, Kansas, etc…
Except every big ten school recruits Chicago hard AF and several of them are not much farther away. Then you have all the blue bloods that come in with big bags, even pre NIL.
Less than 500 miles is about the ideal recruiting radius, with 250 being considered backyard, and Chicago is the leagues epicenter with every OG big ten school and even all the east coast additions and Nebraska being in that radius. 7 schools are less than 250 miles, Ohio state is 311, Minneapolis 400, and Illinois is 135 miles. All these schools have enormous alumni bases in Chicago.
Illinois football has long suffered a similar fate, with tons of in state talent being dispersed regionally.

The basketball talent in Chicago has been way down for 10+ years.
Other than Terrence Shannon, Ayo Dosunmu, Jeremiah Fears, Morez Johnson (which IL was involved with all 4 but only Ayo played 3 years), there’s been a serious lack of NBA talent developer in Chicago for a long time.
It dried up after Derrick Rose, Okafor, Jabari Parker, Anthony Davis.
The best NBA player that played in the Chicago area in high school over the last 10 years is probably Matas Buzelis. That should tell you how dried up the state has been.
That’s a major reason Illinois had went to Europe to find players
