Or, form some new conference with some of the non-bcs teams that are near them.

I could see them picking teams from CUSA West and the MWC to form a new conference.

You know that the Big 10 is going to want to take Kansas for their basketball program, and it makes sense for them to go there.

I don't know how the rest of the conferences would like to have Texas on board with that TV network they're building, which could result in Texas being independent.

The Pac12 will surely come calling for a school or two, maybe even try to scoop up three and grab Boise while they're at it.

The SEC isn't going to sit with uneven divisions, so would they also pick up Oklahoma with A&M?

The rest of the schools such as Iowa St, K-State, Baylor, Tech, etc are going to wind up without a seat in the BCS (bull crap system) for a few years until the MWAC gets their auto bid.

TT, Kansas, and K. I predict they will either all go to the Mountain west or big east. K and K State are joined at the hip. Baylor will most definitely go to the Mountain West or Conference USA. Mizou could go to the Big Ten, Big East, or the SEC.

Nobody wants Boise or else they would have been offered to join the last go around.

Oklahoma and Ok State are joined by the hip by state law so they are a packaged deal. It is my understanding the Kansas and K-State are too.

That's news to me.

Is this then the trigger that forms up the 16 team conferences since these schools legally can't be seperated?

If the Big 12 dissolves, does the BCS go ahead and give their auto bid to the MWAC?

Is the Dallas Morning News trying to drive up subscriptions by having statements from the Governor of Texas (who is a former Aggie yell leader) talking about it?

quote:

Asked by The Dallas Morning News ’ statehouse reporters about SEC speculation regarding A&M, Perry responded: "I'll be real honest with you. I just read about it the same time as y'all did. ... As far as I know, conversations are being had. That's frankly all I know. I just refer you to the university and the decision makers over there."

quote:

Perry didn’t say if the conversations were strictly internal at this point or involved direct discussions with the Southeastern Conference.

sorry, just not buying it yet. not saying it won't happen, but it just seems to me to be a lot of internet rumor with no facts to back it up. and btw, thats from the free side of the DMN website LINK

The Oklahoma thing I heard on sports radion here in Houston. Says that the politics in Oklahoma are different than in Texas. That is why ATM can seperate from the other schools and vise versa.

Not 100% sure on the Kansas thing I remember hearing about it when this stuff was happening last year. Could be wrong though.

Texas: Independent OU: Pac 12 OSU: Pac 12 Missouri: Big Ten TTU, Baylor, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State...no idea.

If I had to put money on it I think the PAC-12 will want OU- but not want Okie lite-but be forced to take them in a package deal. And OU has said, or at least their HC has said they want the PAC: Probably to play next to his brother at Zona. Anyways, and then I know the PAC really badly wants a Texas team for the Texas market, so I think they are leaning hard on TTU. And then the PAC will pick Kansas.

It is sad, but it will be OU, OSU, TTU, KU.

I think better pics from what is available would be OU, TTU, Missouri(to give us Kansas city and St. Louis Markets) and TCU(to give us Dallas)and or Houston or Rice (to give us Houston markets). Or maybe we could just steal LSU from the SEC and perhaps that would give us Houston as well, lol.

But whatever comes, for sure one thing: The PAC will never take U-Texas even if they kiss our feet. The PAC only wanted Texas last year way before the LHN and from what we have seen them do recently. We would never ever except their LHN, and we know how they love to wreck Conferences and bully around and Texas would want to be the boss and that will never fly with the PAC. The Conference that would take Texas might be the WAC or MWC, and they would be left out of the grand 4 super power Conferences created. Texas will be left out in the snow when all this goes down in time. Just wait and see. And from those super 4, we might finally have a mini playoff from those 4 winners of each.

-PAC-12-

Texas
OU
OSU
TT

Missouri could either go to SEC or B1G10

KSU, KU, Baylor, and ISU could be left high and dry.
