NASCAR question - who wins under old points system?

remember, so far we've only heard one side of this story. what if Paterno reported the incident to the AD (I believe i read that the GA didn't tell Paterno exactly what he saw), and the AD and others decided they had to keep Paterno as far away from this as possible, so they assured him they would handle it, but instead covered it up. For all we know as of now, Paterno may have been repeatedly asking what the status was, and the AD may have been repeatedly telling him it was under control. Why would Paterno have any reason not to believe the AD? He could have assumed the police were involved, he could have been told the police were involved by the AD. He was summoned to testify before the grand jury, so why would he not think the legal system was working it out?
I know there a lot of assumptions and unanswered questions right now, but I don't think we should be so quick to crucify Paterno until more information comes out.
That being said, I do now think Paterno will resign, probably this week.

what's everybody's take on this game? clemson is red hot right now. will saturday night in blacksburg be an equalizer? Tech hasn't looked super impressive in our first 4 games, but were clemson's wins over auburn and FSU as impressive as they're being made out to be?
