This is the first I've heard of this excuse. Apparently, Altuve has a tattoo on his collarbone. According to Correa, the tattoo was "incomplete" during the ALCS and so Altuve wanted to keep it hidden.

Isn't that at least 3 different excuses now?

1) He's shy.

2) His wife had told him not to remove his shirt.

3) He wanted to hide an ugly, incomplete tattoo.

Jose Altuve actually seems like a pretty decent guy to me. Somebody needs to tell him to stop making up different excuses, because he's really starting to embarrass himself.

Reserving a spot for later in case I come up with something clever to trigger Astros fans

It was a bad tattoo of an electronic device.

For the record, I don't blame you for defending your team. I'd probably feel the same way if LSU was getting crushed for doing something wrong.

But at the same time, surely you have to realize how this looks to the rest of us. Did you see Mike Trout's comments?

The thing is, the tattoo is a name written in script. What is there to be ashamed of?

That being a heroin junkie is cool, but electronic sign stealing crosses the line?

I never in my life thought the poor little small market Astros would trigger the rest of the MLB so much. Damn, it makes me even more proud.

What do you think is more likely?

1. Altuve's didn't want his shirt ripped off because his wife doesn't like it when Correa rips his shirt off like he's done in the past, and he also just got his first tattoo that he was uncomfortable with showing to the world at that point.

or

2. He was secretly hooked up with some kind of wireless buzzer that was telling him what pitch was coming. There was a guy somewhere pushing a button to buzz him to let him know. Even though there is an MLB official in the replay room in the playoffs since 2018, they were somehow able to conduct this elaborate scheme.

Easily number 2. Even with how you tried to frame the question to tilt the scales.

He's an awful guy if he thought it was cool to frick up the integrity of a WS Title and ruin careers of his opponents by being told what pitch was coming next and still accepting awards.

I'd rather the guy just used steroids - they aren't the insane advantage of knowing what pitch is coming next when it comes to baseball.

When the alternative is that you have to accept that your team lost to a better team, I can tell you what they will say.
