So how did Mortenson know details from the elevator video in July?

The above deadspin article includes a quote from Chris Mortenson back in July where he divulges details of the elevator video as told to him by his NFL sources. His version of events matches up exactly with what we saw today. The above article proves, in my opinion, that the NFL is lying about not seeing the video.

You can tell that Schefter and Mortenson are pissed about all of this. The NFL better calm those two down because they are the last guys you want to have a vendetta against you.

i'm almost 100% certain i heard reports that the NFL had access to the entire video way back in the beginning, but it was not being shown to the public

The NFL lied. I didn't think they could handle this any worse but my God they shattered that prediction. When Adam Schefter is pissed at the NFL, the NFL shat the bed.

Meh, both will continue to carry the water for the league office shortly after this has blown over. They won't have a grudge because they'd lose their access.
Peter King is FAR worse than both with regard to being a worthless mouthpiece for Goodell and the owners.
