I agreed with Pollack's latest statement that immediate family members should be allowed to receive a free flight and hotel to watch their kid every weekend. The fact that they're not is fricking ridiculous in my mind.

The cost of that would be ridiculous, not to mention how bad of a logistical nightmare that would be.

Who would pay for that? The NCAA?
If it's on the schools, the bottom half of FBS would have to get rid of football because they would lose money.

Not trying to take up for UGA, but Pollack did not necessarily say that it happened at UGA. It could have been when he was being recruited by other schools or it could have happened with friends across the country or after he was an analyst.

I'm sure they could figure out a specific percentage required from schools and the NCAA. College football as a whole rakes in a frick ton of money. Plus, I'm sure there are numerous boosters and alumni at most schools that would be willing to cover a mother and father for a season.
It would be obviously tough to fully figure out, and there would be numerous arguments on either side of the fence, but it's alot more realistic and reasonable than just allowing players to be paid IMO.
