Too late to trade for a QB, not too many options. The ultimate redemption story?

Kaepernick doesn’t want to play. The grift is too profitable.

Drew Brees may have a bit of tread on the tires. How about Tony Romo? Surely his back is healed up.

Positives:
- Completion percentage under 60%
- Averaged less than 180 passing yds/game
- Career passer rating under 90
- Age: over 35
- 3 NFL wins since 2014 season

Yes, that looks like winning résumé that should put the 49ers over the top.

Yes, as a totally unbiased SEA fan, I think they should resign him. They should give him a large contract too, even if it destroys their salary cap, as reparations for how badly he was treated and such.

To do what?

He’s proven multiple times he doesn’t actually want to play.

Deshaun Watson looked like shite yesterday after not playing in two years. Imagine Kaepernick after six.

I knew this was coming.

Has it been 7 years since he last played? If he was serious about coming back to the NFL, he would have got in one one of the many minor-league football leagues that has sprouted up in the last few years. This would be an easy way to show Gms if he still had the talent or not.

But alas, he never truly wanted to play again, because that would dispel the narrative that the racist nfl blackballed him.
