re: Should the Bills target a QB in next year’s draft?

This is insane. Has he been less than stellar this year with keeping the ball safe, yeah but Josh Allen is on the tier below Mahomes pretty solidly, and I'll need more than one above average year to knock him down.

The Bills drifted in the no-QB abyss for years. There's no way they're that foolish

Carolina should trade him for Bryce Young. Panthers f’ed up trading up to take him #1. He’s going to be good but not worth what they gave up.

Whatever happened between Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs at the end of last season, has carried over to this season. If anything, i think they need to move on from Diggs and trade him...give Allen a reset so to speak. I think it has caused Allen to press too much and he is making some boneheaded decisions. It's hard for a QB that is struggling, to get back on track when he has a WR that is demanding the ball. JMO...

I mean Allen has regressed but I think there are a lot of problems for the Bills and he is wayyyyyy down the list. McDermott is probably number 1. Firing your OC is step 1 of the HC hot seat.
A lot of these young QBs regress when they lose THE offensive minded coach that got them there. Look at Hurts compared to last year when he had Steichen. Herbert last year when he didn’t have Steichen and had terrible arse Joe Lombardi. Matt Ryan took a HUGE step back when he lost Shanahan.

I think this is the most retarded thread ive seen in my *checks join date* roughly 13 years on TD. And West Coast Ag post here regularly and Hank used to.
Depending on where they end up picking they seriously should consider Ladd. Dude is going to destroy it in the NFL. He will never have the best year of a WR but will be similar to Welker (not just he’s white) but consistent top league numbers. If they’re high enough to get someone like Burden get him but then they could probably get Bowers and anyone who passes on Bowers imo is retarded since this qb class sucks

That would make sense if his picks were from forcing passes to Diggs. Josh just making bad decisions all over can't be on Diggs. Also, Josh's leap forward was because he got Diggs. The rest of their receivers are bad so they better have a good replacement for him.

I haven’t watched enough to say this for sure but from what I’ve seen compared to previous years are defenses have absolute no fear or him scrambling. This changes the scheme. This makes his reads and time clock more difficult. Etx
As far as a good replacement I think Ladd will unfairly drop to round 2 if he’s there and the bills pass in the 2nd they’re officially stupid as hell

Odds are Ladd as your #1 isn't gonna cut it in the NFL.

Their roster is deteriorating and he isn’t the same QB as he was 4-5 years ago.

I wouldn’t suggest he be your number 1. You can pick a guy you know will very good and consistent for 10 years in the second round

I’m just stating the facts.

Yeah but if they trade Diggs they'll need a guy now.

True but I mean you can’t build Rome in a day. Ladd is exceptionally fast and the best route runner on our team. Better than bowers better than anyone. He will be one of the best 2 receivers in the league. This is all relative to where they pick and Ladd could easily go round 1 late. If they are high enough for Harrison they either are 1 short of bowers or can pick him. He can be your number 1.
If they’re back around 13ish area I know this is an LSUbsight but I’m not drafting Malik as my number 1 in the first round. I’d take burden there though.
Has Calvin Ridley made any official decisions on which team he will join? Go for him
If you can give Allen Ridely (assuming he’s the same) and Ladd and find a coach to get him right. My god. I’ve heard he wants Jacksonville though

what they should target is a running game, its a turnover happy Qb's best friend. Oh and Sean McDermit should be on the hot seat.
Posted on 11/14/23 at 5:19 pm to hawkeye007
Imo they should acquire the personal to run mostly the same offense Monkun ran at UGA with Bennet only with a much better runner at QB. This needs
1 very good hybrid tight end that can also run end around a
1 other mostly blocking tight end but still good in pass game
2 complementing backs for downhill running and counter speed trap stuff plus catching out of the backfield
Some receivers that don’t need to be all word but are very good blockers
Then implement even more RPO than we did with Stetson. Josh Allen and that offense would kill everyone

I think nfl defenses have just kinda caught up to these young freak QBs who can air it out for days. They’re taking away the deep shots more and making them be patient. The great ones will adjust.

Joe Bradybis about to really screw this offense up. Watch. They really jumped the gun and freaked out. They need to worry about defense first. Let Allen work himself out. Keep using the running back in a rotation until someone gets hot. The rookie could be a very big asset.

Brady will be just fine
