OK, I just watched a camp

of the best kids in high school and made kicks

Does not compare to a CFP game with the a trip to the national championship on the line in front a packed stadium.

Well no shite, doesn’t make the act of doing it much different. Point being That scholarship kickers have likely made that same kick 1000 times. That’s the point of all this shite. No other way to prepare. It’s difficult to do, so you practice for years. Build confidence and hope like hell you perform like you’ve prepared to.

Plant foot that close is not how he planned it.

Next weekend is the national ranking camp…a miss from 52 or 56 will cost you big time. They chart 1 or 0. Most kids will record all makes from those distances. These are the absolute best kids in the country…but they make these kicks under pressure.
Let me know when this camp has 11 players trying to block this kick along with 70K plus fan screaming non stop.

It’s a difficult task, just something you’re expected to do at that level.

And yet Ohio state is out.

Must've been a first.

Please respond and triple down....

My son made a 50 yard kick off of the ground as a freshman in high school, made a 50 as sophomore as well…in actual football games on shitty fields …kicked 58 in competitions as a freshman, and routinely hits them from 60 as a 16 yr old…but after years of practice as a scholarship athlete it will be impossible…and maybe it will. I guess it’s all how you look at it.

OSU’s coach thought he’d make it.

Scholarship kickers should make 50 yard kicks. 54 is about threshold, 58 is tough…52 is a make if you recruited a kicker.

This isn't the nfl.

The top ‘23, Peyton, and the top ‘24, Abram, both got NIL as part of their offers, but it definitely isn’t life changing.

You missed my sarcasm.

Do your son a favor and don't accidentally dox him because the social media barrage will be brutal after his 1st miss.

We all know he won't be kicking 60 yarders in college.

If so, the NIL would be life changing.

Cade York is a pro and is just over 50% at 50+.

Not a good example, he’s mediocre at best.

Well I will look forward to seeing how he does when suited up for his college team.
