I think they should start fining players that withdraw from tournaments.

Actually, I was making a pun about leaving the tournament, but it was surprising, because up to that point, his game had been solid as an oak.

completely agree. Barring injury or a life event, I think they should start fining players that withdraw from tournaments.

It's a charity event, not a PGA Tour Tournament.

He really went out on a limb to make that shot though.

Serious question because I don't know...do they get fined if they withdraw from a Tour event?

crazy thing is, he probably hit that shot quicker from climbing up the tree to the actual shot than he does when the ball is in the fairway.

Nah, not really. Simple shot, just done by someone not fat and able to climb a tree. Add a camera and gallery and he looks like a hero. He went on to double bogie that hole.

He boogered up the 6th hole with a 9. He withdrew shortly after his "amazing tree shot". He's a quitter.

I played in a charity event once and he was our pro. He's a truckload of talent but his mental game just doesn't compare to the other pros. He's made a career off of his name though, so there's that.

I still root for him slightly when his name is on the leaderboard however it does no good because he's a mental midget.

Dude is cool as hell. My friend and I were watching him at Doral on Thursday several years ago. Just about everyone there was following tiger or Phil. He hit a nice shot and we obviously clapped/cheered. Broke out 2 bottled waters from his cooler and gave them to us.
