SEC is forever in a hissy-fit if they're not in the title game...so they always want to change the format and bend the rules.

Do fricking what?

The format has changed within two years after an all-SEC championship. Twice.

You had your run, its over.

Emergency meetings in the SEC offices to rig the system again, those days are over.

I forgot the NC game was scheduled on Monday lol.

Never would have imagined I’d forget about a college football NCG

The way I interpret it is Notre Dame automatically gets the bid if it’s ranked in the top 14
Ahh, well then yeah. If that's what they're proposing then ND should agree to it.

But imagine how shitty it would be if say Boise and Tulane both won their conferences at 13-0. They'd both be in the top 5-8 in the rankings, but one of them would be left out of a 14 team playoff because somehow a 9-3 Ole Miss or Bama...who despite going 5-3 in conference with 1 or less ranked wins and/or losses to conference bottom feeders would be in the field because the SEC has 4 automatic bids.

If they want to bump the SEC and B1G up to 2 auto bids, fine. But there's no reason that any conference should be getting 4 automatic bids or that the ACC and Big 12 should get 2 auto bids.

They fricked this whole thing up by trying to expand it too fast and not seeing how an 8 team playoff would have gone instead. Now people like Greg Sankey and Lane Kiffin are getting their panties in a wad because some 9-3 SEC teams didn't get a playoff spot

a #10 ranked 10-2 ND

Yeah with their murderers row of games they play every year and the potential to trip up in their conference championship game they should just be given the national championship.

I remember when Auburn didn't get to play the great 2004 USC instead it was Oklahoma to the slaughter....

Auburn was undefeated so they had every right to complain.

That was also the first year of a new formula implemented because of Southern Cal whining.

Force the fish eating leprechauns to join a conference or else they are ineligible for the playoffs. This should have been done YEARS AGO.

Sankey might as well acquiesce to whatever the B1G wants since 80% of the league laid down in the bowls

It was the whole media. LSU didn't deserve to be there, instead of OU.
