This is why I will firmly say I do not believe Harden can be the centerpiece of a championship team. We all know refs tend to swallow their whistles in the playoffs, and if he's not getting the driving foul calls, he's rendered almost useless unless he happens to have a hot hand shooting 3s that night.
And as always, my disclaimer with the Houston crowd: I LOVED The Beard when he was with us. Just my opinion based on the current body of work.

I think we need a legit wing scorer off the bench. Watching Garcia and Caspi pisses me off. Either that or a real PG. Beverly ain't a starter in this league. Good reserve if he is only being asked to give 20 minutes or so but nothing more.

Is Jeremy Lin really that important to this Rockets' team? I also think they've got to make a move for a legit 4. Jones/Cassipi aren't going to cut it if a deep playoff run is to be a reality.
Also, I'm surprised that Rockets' success seems to be extremely dependent on hitting from 3. I didn't expect scoring in the paint to be an issue for a team with Harden and Howard.

Bass would have been a good fit. Honestly if they want a stretch 4 Parsons can do it. I would like a guy like Shumpert to be added.
And yeah Lin is pretty important. Aaron Brooks and Pat Beverly don't cut it.

PG play was pretty ugly tonight. Lin has made a big improvement from last year, but I wouldnt mind an upgrade by trading Asik

People can bash him all they want but you know what you're going to get from him every night. The only times he doesn't score is because he doesn't get the ball. He's been the most consistent player on the Rockets all season. You just hope our team makes the same improvement later on in the season that they did last season.

McHale is going to have to figure out how to maximize our talent during the playoffs. Let Harden and Howard dominate every other game.
