Please tell me they fired the GM that traded Hall. I was reading on The Athletic that they should already buy out Lucic.

Juho Lammiko had 4 assists tonight
He had 1 point in 16 career games

Have to think they fired Yeo to bring back Q.
When your team is not playing up to expectations and a guy like Q is out there, you make the move. Plus this is such a Blues move, firing head coaches.
After all, you cant fire the players

I hope. I could see Q wanting to wait till the off-season to start. That would suck considering the roster we have now

Price made an insane save in the literal last second of the game to rob Ovi of a hat trick and the game winner. Ovi applauded the save and gave him a high five. He's the f'n best.
Then Eller won it in OT. So, no harm, no foul.

They need to axe Chiarelli too. He’s awful.

Lol Edmonton gives up a goal 45 seconds into the Hitch era

McDavid scores his 100th career goal

And now Thornton ties Lemieux in career assists

Oilers win in OT. How weird to have just one game on a Tuesday night.

We're about a fourth of the way into the season, so its a good time to look at how each divisional race is shaping up:
ATLANTIC
The Leafs and the Bolts are running away with this thing with a third team /adjust glasses/ that is apparently the Buffalo freakin' Sabres? YES! The Sabres are on a 6-game winning streak, so I'm not sure this is sustainable, but they do look like a playoff team which... thank God. I mean, that franchise deserves something good. The Habs and the Bruins would be in the playoffs as well if they started today. The Bruins defense is absurd, by the way. The Sens brief flirtation with competence seems to be coming to an end.
METRO
Just as we predicted, the Blue Jackets are in first and the Penguins are in last. The Rangers are on an absurd hot streak (8-1-1), so I think they'll fall back to earth, but right now, they are in second just ahead of the Caps and Isles. But the big story is that somehow the Penguins are in last, going 1-7-2 in their last 10. Now, they aren't out of it by any means, but they sit 5 points out of the playoffs right now, which is a bigger gap than you think. They need to turn it around. On the positive side, the aforementioned Rangers only have 7 ROW, the same as the Pens, so its not like they are burning up the division.
CENTRAL
The Preds have a 5-point lead on second place. I don't want to say its over, but... it's over. The Jets would be in 1st in the Pacific, and instead are now killing time until the playoffs, where they will be the 2nd seed. Yeah, the wild are tied with the Jets, but they've played two more games. Don't believe it. They are more similar to the Avs and Stars, who would both be playoff teams if it started today. The Blackhawks and Blues are stick a fork in them done.
PACIFIC
Like we all saw in the preseason, the Sharks and flames are duking it out for divisional supremacy. The Flames are in 2nd with a game in hand, and have 4 points on the Oilers and 3 points and 2 games in hand on the Canucks. Speaking of the Canucks, they are in 3rd despite allowing 84 goals (2nd worst in the NHL) and ositing -14 goal differential (3rd worst). They are a total mirage. Stock up on canned goods. The Knights have turned back into a pumpkin and the Kings are looking for anything not nailed down to trade.
Mikko Rantanen leads the NHL in points and David Pastrnak leads all goal scorers. That won't last, as the second place guys are Connor McDavid and Alex Ovechkin, respectively. We know how this movie ends.

the surprise sabres will be on nbcsn vs flyers
calgarys balanced scoring across many forwards is promising. this season could be a good one if smith figures his game out.
