How? It's not like this city has much experience in drafting professional football players.

Betting Odds: Arizona Hotshots at Memphis Express
Spread: Arizona -13
Over/Under: 46
Time: 7 p.m. CT on Saturday
TV: NFL Network

The Express are going to shock the world when they pull off the upset. I wish I could make the home opener. I’m sure the RVs are beginning to roll in this afternoon.

Bad news, Express fans. Looks like an amazing long shot to beat Arizona after this "latest" news.

The Express' 26-0 loss was embodied by a dismal performance from quarterback Christian Hackenberg in his first professional start. Yet Singletary said he was sticking with Hackenberg as the starter for Saturday's home opener against the Arizona Hotshots at the Liberty Bowl.

“He’s a guy that’s, you forget he’s only 23 years old,” Singletary said Monday. “He’s a young quarterback that really hasn’t had a chance to really get his career started yet.

“I think it’s going to be a growing opportunity for him, and I’m excited for him. I’m excited to see what he has."

Singletary is single-handedly ruining Memphis football!

If memory serves, it was closer. But I guess far too much money was getting bet on Arizona after the Hackenberg announcement.

Gonna need the D to step up. Gotta have turnovers in our side of the field.

Christian Hackenburg was bad in college. I don't see any logic in keeping him as your starter.

Setting the stage for Mettsiah to save the season.

Get ready for 2nd half fireworks when Hackenburg is replaced at half, and ZM leads the Express to the biggest second half comeback in AAF history.

I’m rooting for Mett and all but I don’t know why all these teams have these stone footed QBs back there

I’d find me an athletic QB and see if the defense could stop him from running around

The only problem with that is the AAF blitz rule. Pretty much ensures safeties stay back and you can have a LB spy the QB.

All things being equal, does the QB still have an advantage in that situation?

We ain't pulling off shite if Hackenburg is still the QB. I'm rolling with the Apollos til Singletary gets his head out of his arse.
