Payton made it pretty well known that if the Saints weren't getting Brees/Culpepper that they were trading with Dallas to get Romo.

he ran his stupid mouth and told a bunch of chatty kathys that he wanted maholmes, and thats the only reason KC traded up to get him.
its just like ditka saying he would give up all his draft picks for williams, and then tried to trade up, and imagine that, telling everyone you are desperate means you have no power to negotiate and so that stupid big mouth idiot cost us all our picks
