Because Beanie clearly plays defense, so if he's not healthy they will give up an additional 13 points. Makes perfect sense

Beanie is all the difference when it comes to OSU and Ball control. It will get ugly if his injury keeps him from being effective.

USC looked very good against a team that is going to have a lot of struggles this year. Their offense looked better than I anticipated though I will say...but that tends to happen when your QB has all day to throw. If OSU doesn't get pressure it will be a long night.

Well considering he will be the main reason Ohio gets first downs without him I see a lot of 3 and outs and a huge clock advantage for USC which will result in more points for USC.

Trust me I'd love to see Ohio State beat the shite out of them but I'm a realist.

USC - 48
tOSU - 13

tOSU defense will look slow and overmatched against the USC athletes.. much like they did against UF, Illinois and LSU..

tOSU offense will move the ball well, but will turn the ball over at least 3 times, maybe all INTs..

before this weekend, i would have said USC by 10.. with Beanie banged up.. its gonna get bad..

all that being said, i hope tOSU lays a beating on the Trojans..

Honestly, I have a feeling this could very well be a blowout in favor of USC.

I feel USC has better coaches, better athletes, the superior QB, home field advantage, and more confidence. I say "confidence" because of their recent success against the Big 10 while on the other hand we all saw OSU break down like a 14 YO girl in the national championship game with a slew of blown assignments and personal fouls.

I say USC 31 OSU 14

Ok,

I watched USC's game against UVA and was very very impressed. However, UVA never moved the ball and USC had like 15 of their first 16 plays in UVA territory.

Additionally, USC blitzed like 80% of the plays; if OSU throws in a few screen passes, which they apparently had intended to throw into the offense, that should buy Boeckman some more time later.

But, I watched the game and was scared. I say OSU's experience wins, but I'm not sold on that anymore

Talent, coaching, and execution override experience, except perhaps at the QB position.

OSU might win due to execution, but due to EXPERIENCE? Doubt it.

USC 44
OSU 9

Outprepared, outcoached, outplayed...

Wells gets limited/no playing time and OSU packs it in early and USC doesn't let up. USC wants to jump to #1 in the polls and the more points, the better.

USC 27
Ohio State 17

Boeckman will struggle against the USC defense.

I originally had OSU by 14, but USC looked very impressive on Saturday. I still think OSU will win, but I think it will be closer:

Ohio St: 20
USC: 14

(Note: It sounds like Beanie will be ready to go for the Trojans, but it's possible that he won't be, and even if he is, he probably won't be at 100%.)

This game won't be won by more than a TD.

I think we'll be fine offensively even without Beanie.

Key to the game, IMO, is the Buckeye defense. They need to keep the pressure on the USC offense.

1) USC by 17.
2) USC vs Ohio State AGAIN in BCS Title Game.
3) USC by 35 in that game.
4) Ohio State not allowed ever to play for title again.
