Story of the 1994 F1 seaon when he was with Benetton Ford headed by Flavio.
Schumacher in the B194 against Damon Hill in the Williams Renault FW16 (designed by Newey) was a helluva season, complete with all the drama and controversy (along with a super tight finish) expected in a great F1 season. Not to mention the tragedy of Ratzenberger and Senna's deaths at San Marino.

Haven't watched the doc yet, but aside from Senna/Ratzenberger, I remember a bunch of little things about the season.
Senna was very frustrated at the start of the season. His former teammate Hakkinen punted him out at Aida.
The first big incident at Imola was Barrichello going into the fence in a brutal crash, putting him in the hospital. Senna visited him.
At Monaco, Wendlinger went sideways into the barrier at Nouvelle chicane. I can't remember if this ended his career. This may have led to the mandated better side protection in later car designs.
After that, F1 got paranoid and started crippling some of the tracks. In particular, I remember they crippled the Nissan chicane at Barcelona with an extra tire chicane. After that, they removed the Nissan chicane from the F1 layout altogether.
Suzuka was Damon Hill's finest race in F1. After the red flag, he had to beat Schumacher by several seconds in order to win the race, and he held him off.
Schumacher's disgraceful behavior at Adelaide. Confirmed later by Schumacher's disgraceful behavior at Jerez in '97. And then later at Monaco in 2006.
But yeah 1994 was a wild year that changed F1.
Oh, almost forgot, the legendary pit fire that engulfed Jos Verstappen's Benetton. Steve Matchett was on the pit crew.

You can't blame him for stopping at Rascasse! If you know the bar the corner is named after you know he just stopped to get in early for the evening. La Rascasse is legendary especially during the GP weekend, even on a Thursday night.

Damon's drive in Japan was indeed excellent but Schumacher's drive at the Spanish GP may be the best drive in F1 history. He lost 5th gear for most of the race and using his elite racecraft (second only to Prost) and mechanical sympathy, he nursed his car to second place.

You should hear Steve tell the story when he is drunk, especially when David Hobbs and Peter Windsor were there for color commentary. Speaking of Peter, he is a fricking wild man.
Since this thread is mainly about Schumacher, his pit fire in Austria was legendary. He just sat in the cockpit of the F2003GA like nothing was happening until they got the fire out, he drove away and won the race. I think he beat Kimi that day. 2003 was another incredible season with Juan Pablo, Kimi, and Michael duking it out. JPM blew his chances at Indy (next to the last race) and Michael would have clinched if Button's Honda hadn't shite the bad on the back straight. It went to Japan, and Michael had a poor race and Kimi had a great race but Michael did his job and got a point and Rubens won the race. Kimi was second and finished second in the WDC.

I remember that! But I totally forgot that was 1994. I only remembered the tire chicane was 1994.
But yeah, a legendary drive. So many interesting stories from 1994.
No one denied Schumacher's greatness, but some acknowledge his character flaws and some choose to ignore that part of his story.

Senna banging underage girls is seldom mentioned in his greatness.
