What about those of us who are apathetic towards both?

“Your claim of apathy is a lie to cover for your true hate of Deion.” — those who look for racism in everything

People have always hated Deion for whatever reason. For my part he’s my favorite football player of alltime and anyone who’s bothered to learn about him knows he’s always been very intelligent when it comes to the game, a diligent worker in terms of preparation and a team first guy. For those of us who were interested enough to learn what the guy was really all about apart from the “Prime Time” character used as a marketing technique, we knew he would be a successful coach. How successful remains to be seen but there’s no doubt he can do the job and seems to elevate every opportunity he gets.

Every college team except maybe ivy has 75 percent or more black players. All have black assistants and Deion is not the first black coach.

I don’t hate Prime but this is a dumb comparison. Spurrier threw out funny one line zingers.

Prime is unabashedly confident to the point it comes off as arrogant and cocky, but that’s just him. When you’re the best ever at your position you have that right. I think his players freaking love it too, his speech before TCU was great.

That said, he is acting like he’s the first black head coach in history, and that comes off as being a victim/whiny. Of course people doubted you, CU won 1 game last year and you came from Jackson State. It has nothing to do with you being black.

He is motivated by his love for his players

That's one of the dumbest things I’ve read on this board, and that’s saying a lot. Whether he likes it or not, when Sanders took the Colorado job, the players in the program became “his players.” And he got rid of most of them within a few months. I’m not saying he was wrong to do that, but spare the “he’s motivated by his love for his players” bullshite.

He’s always been motivated about what’s best for him, first and foremost.
