It's shame that I can't pull for the Falcons in this game with a good conscience like I want to because most Falcon fans would view this win as a victory over the Saints. Weird. So I have to pull for the 49ers even though I hate Harbough and their fans more.

It sounds arbitrary, but since a new CBA opened up free agency, or since a new owner bought the team are more relevant that how good the franchise was in the distant past.

Where did the Falcons vs Saints rivalry come from? Growing up it was Saints Dome Patrol vs San Fran (even though San Fran won every meeting) and it wasn't until Hebert and Anderson went to the Falcons that the hate began.

Ok, I guess. So where is the starting point? I still think its better to talk about "now" or "ever". Too many variables any other way. And too many rigged arguments where the "winner" may be obvious from the start, but the prize is meaningless...

The Falcons winning a Super Bowl on their home field?

If the Falcons make it their, Tom Brady will make sure this isn't a problem.

Well I know that... but I had forgotten Heyward in my original...

Hell Saints use to have horrible luck in FA until Horn came along... I mean Steve Walsh?
Haynes at least had 77 receptions his first season to finish behind Early

Little Superbowl? You're fricking stupid.

The saints have been one of the top teams in the NFL for a few years now.

Was a trade. A #1, 2, & 3 IIRC.

The too legit to quit falcons was when I truly started hating them. However that probably coincides with my age and understanding of football more than anything.

I liked Randall Hill but Shuler was the QB at the time. After Shuler was benched wasn't it Danny Wuerffel to the rescue?

Hating the falcons because of Jerry Glanville and MC Hammer 20 years ago is 100% stupid.
