Falcons fans have more "football knowledge" than Saints fans. I cant find the article, but there was one that ranked fanbases and the Falcons were in the top 5. Saints fans were ranked near Eagles fans....if you catch my drift..

This one?

Top Tier: Green Bay Packers, Buffalo Bills, Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Browns, New Orleans Saints, Oakland Raiders, Seattle Seahawks, Philadelphia Eagles, Chicago Bears, Denver Broncos and Washington Redskins

Bottom rung: New England Patriots, Miami Dolphins, Carolina Panthers, Atlanta Falcons, Tennessee Titans, Arizona Cardinals, Cincinnati Bengals, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, San Diego Chargers, and St. Louis Rams.

It doesnt happen here. But when I'm out and meet Saints fans.... or go to that one Saints website (slips my mind at the moment)

I feel as though when discussing the Saints/Falcons I have to "dumb down" the conversation just to get my points across.

Cause when I say Matt Ryan is a top 5 QB.

A Saints fan responds "Hurly Burly Squirly iz not a gud. Bres is much better 25erback"

I've adapted well though. I can speak like I want to with them. There is much conversation held here though.

I don't think Ryan is a bad QB at all, in fact, I think he is very good. You could definitely make an argument for him as the 5th best in the league. I just wouldn't put him in the elite category. You can't argue with how many games he has won, and he's had great numbers. You do have to wonder about how he handles playoff pressure though.

There are the 4 elite guys, then a set of quarterbacks ranked right below. (E. Manning, M. Ryan, Roethlishberger) IMO. Philip Rivers was in there for a while, but he has regressed so much over the last 2 seasons.

I like the fact that Falcons travel to 49ers and Packers late in the year with the Saints end of year schedule a little easier.

it's like the car crash that i cant peel my eyes away from that i also occasionally wildly swerve my car into, creating more carnage and chaos

So what would happen if these two teams met in the NFC Championship Game?

Chicken will shut down Saints Talk and the More Sports Board for the day. We will then take over the OT.

Pull up some Falcons messageboard threads from the 2009 playoffs. Their game threads (for Saints games) of bitching, complaining, and pure misery went longer than the Saints Talk game threads.

frick, pull up their SB XLIV thread. Comic gold.

I think that the current offense is a great one for Ryan, and ditching Turner is a great boost for him.

He reminds me of Brady, to be honest with you. Smart, accurate QB. Not the most physically gifted, but gets it done.

He gets too much blame for the falcons' post season failures, IMO.
