If you're referencing not having a head coach or any leadership for most of the season..sure call it an excuse. You still split the series with the worst defense of all time.

I dont really have a dog in this fight, if I had to pick I would pick the Saints, but this comment really isn't fair. He had a fricking AMAZING game in the NFC Championship. He was like 30-42 with 350 yards and 3TDs IIRC. He may be a little bitch but he didn't lose that game for them, the D did.

I would tone that comment down greatly. He had a great first half, which is usually what the Falcons have. I specifically remember a horrible, horrible pick in the Seattle game that sparked their comeback....a game they absolutely should have lost. Then in the NFC champ game, dude fumbles a snap and basically just tosses it over to the defense, which sparked their comeback and actually finished it off.
Ryan has some great halfs, but always has his huge choke moments in games. Luckily for him, he can usually get his Hall of Famer TE to bail him out just enough to get into FG range for a last GW winning FG. Which happened against such stout teams as Oakland and Arizona last year in the regular season.

Maybe the Saints, I'll gve you that. But how is LSU on the decline when they're consistently getting higher rated recruiting classes than UGA the past few years?
