Please stop.

It would mean a whole lot more if Bama was undefeated in all of those seasons and dominating and the only deserving candidate for the title game...but they haven't been. What's their longest winning streak? Were the ranked #1 for 2 and a half years without dropping once in the polls like USC or Miami?

They are extremely good but extremely lucky and catch the breaks in winning mythical national championships...(in all their history with poll voting before the bowls and losing head to head to teams they claim titles over.)

Bama has gotten to the big BCS bullshite game but stop acting like they've dominated CFB the last 5 years winning 5 SEC titles and going undefeated like other teams have done in the past.

This whole topic is overrated like Saban's run. All it did was draw Bama-tards like fleas to sewage dump.

I don't think his run is overrated. It's very impressive. But, like all runs (Nebraska, Florida State, Miami, etc.) it will come to an end. The rest of the college football world will adjust. I'm still not completely sold on Alabama this year. They have about as easy a schedule as is possible in the SEC and Michigan is proving to be a less than stellar early season test. There is really only one team on the schedule (LSU) left that should be a significant test and we all know that the LSU offense is abysmal. Their only real tests of the season could end up being in the SECCG and the BCSNCG if they get there.

It's amusing to see really. So many years SEC teams are (rightfully) touting the rigors of their schedule yet this year Alabama has one of the easier schedules in the country.

Alabama cannot predict which teams will suck when they make there schedule. Arkansas and Michigan for all intents and purposes were suppose to be good this year.

This pretty much describes the Big 2 + 8 conference when Woody and Bo were dominating it. One legitimate test each year and that was the rivalry game against one another.

People seem to ignore that just about any argument you can make for a team being overrated now you could make for a team 50 years ago as well. easy schedule whatever the excuse, it applies now and then.

What makes national championships "mtyhical" now but real back then??? This is a ridiculous argument.

Understood and in past years you could insert other teams names for Alabama in your post and the same would still be true.

You can take 8 coaches on your entire top ten lists and Saban matches their career National Titles, combined!

lol wut

That was the worst math I've ever seen. Either that, or you aren't aware of how many each coach has won.

Belichick

By a landslide.

We know how good he is.

There is no reason to believe he couldnt do it in college.

We know that $abun could not do his job. (Head Corch in NFL)

I realize what he has done at K-state. A great great job, But with all he has done in a rather weak conference, He has won NOTHING.

NFL success is more impressive to me than colleg success.

That said, Saban will certainly go down as top ten in college football history and probably top three in SEC history.

And he's still only the second best coach Alabama has ever had.
