I also think it was due to them being unprepared for what Clemson was bringing. Preparation is his specialty, and when his players make mistakes for which they should've been better prepared, he loses it. But he really couldn't get mad at anyone but himself, and had the decency not to take it out on anyone else.

The strangest bit to me was his "I really do love you" bit to the press after the game. When in the blue hell has he ever expressed such sentiment to anyone??? That was befuddling, to say the least.

Everybody has a plan until they are punched in the mouth.

Saban did not have a plan after he got whacked. The pick 6 did not bother him, but when he came out after half and did not cut into the lead and Clemson promptly shoved it down their throat...he did not know whether to scratch his watch or wind his arse.
