He's discovered a power stroke to go with his inside out swing and is becoming one of the best hitters in the lineup.

Not sure his homerun numbers are going to be a good thing in the long run. That is not his game at all, I just hope he doesn't fall in love with the long ball...cuz we all know that 'chicks dig the long ball'

He's shown so far that he can hit for power in the right situation, and take the ball the other way when it's warranted as well. If he can consistently drive the ball like he's doing now, then he's going to become a very tough out.

i'm pretty sure i saw an interview the other day where Pinella was saying he's prodded Theriot to try to take more homerun swings. told him he knows he has the power to do it. but i do alot of drugs so i could be making that up. who knows.
