You know, vertical integration was seemingly on the horizon for the NFL as it relates to their broadcasts (PPV) That's what the NFL was SEEMINGLY looking towards with the creation of the NFL network. Regardless of whether it's a good idea, it's way out of the scope of roger's creative thinking
he's a pr ad man, a Madison avenue executive...nothing more. And he has used the goodwill and brand strength well, he could just say anything, but the last few years not so much
it is clear the goodwill account is at a zero balance with the fans, and the NFL is lacking credibility. Otherwise, we're not here right now.
oh, I forgot to mention, he's done a wonderful job highlighting player misconduct and incentivizing the pursuit and publication of these events via his PCP (which he chose to personally oversee) It's football news because they get suspended for anything...if it's not news, they don't report it
