congrats the warriors are like -275 to win the title, its not a shocker if they do. They're supposed to dominate their way to the finals. My book has the rockets at +1600 and the Spurs at +800 literally nobody is supposed to touch the warriors even the cavs are +225. Regardless, the rockets can push these guys, hell the spurs can too. The warriors have no answer for the spurs frontcourt. Id love to see them lose but its very unlikely the odds in vegas say as much

Muuuch better than it does v GSW. If you didn't know the HOU offense is currently the 8th best offense in league history. Even better than GSW was last year.

Don't the Rockets currently lead the league in 3pt attempts by a wide margin. Take a bunch of 3pt attempts in the playoffs wouldn't necessarily be a deviation from their current style of play.

Spurs frontcourt isn't anything special. Both Aldridge and Gasol have fallen and if you are GSW you cant help but laugh if they try to put both of those guys out there together against you

The game usually slows down during the playoffs.

It actually doesn't slow down. It's a myth. I went back and looked at pace in the playoffs and regular season for the past 5 years, and it's more or less the same.

Maybe it was true at one point in time, but it doesn't seem to be the case any longer.

I think it would in the past bc most teams did not play with the pace they do now.

To me it appears that pace slows down due to the team just knowing each other better now. (all the ways you are able to look at film, etc..)

Who's defense can make more stops is what it comes down to. I think Houston can give Gsw a run, but I just think gsw is too balanced when you also add in Durant who can do it all.

Force harden into too many mistakes and it's a big problem.

Warriors are certainly the better team and I wouldn't pick the Rockets to beat them in a series.

But because both teams rely so heavily on shooting the 3, if one team has a few bad shooting games and the other team gets hot, then the series is up in the air.

Don't let this distract you from the fact that AC is 2-1 vs. cc.

Popovich said the only player he watches film of is harden. Tells me all I need to know. Can promise you James ain't watching Spurs tape worrying about how he's gonna eviscerate them

Did you see the spurs defensive efficiency when Dedmon started the last 12 games? 96.7 per 100 possessions. As good as it was last year. He has earned himself a payday in free agency this summer.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that trying to outshoot the warriors probably isn't the best strategy...

yes it is. You think Harden is going to shut down Klay AND Curry?

dedmon starting was the obvious move we called this back after seeing 2 weeks of gasol to start the season.

I could not be happier with Dedmon and Lee this year. Exactly what the doctor ordered

I say start Dedmon and bring Aldridge's twinkle-toed, burnt-orange arse off the bench.

They don't sniff the Warriors' net rating from last year though.

It will be an entertaining match up for sure, but I don't see anything that leads me to believe more possessions/pace will help level the playing field with GS.
