“We want to win the title, and obviously that’s probably going through the Warriors at some point,” Morey said in an interview on SiriusXM NBA radio. “And we absolutely figured the only way we’re gonna beat ‘em is with a barrage of 3-pointers and it’s probably going to be a 124-120 affair if we’re going to get past them.”

Non stop shooting.

that's why the Pelicans didn't stand a chance against them the other day

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that trying to outshoot the warriors probably isn't the best strategy...

Probably a smart move. We know playing good defense isn't an option.

Eh. The Rockets are playing a style that maximizes efficiency for their team. It probably isn't enough to beat GS, but what they're doing will give them the best chance.

If they are shooting 40+ 3s per game, if they randomly get hot in 2-3 games, things can happen. Again, very unlikely they beat GS in 7, but it's about giving yourself the best chance.

How bad do you think their defense is?

Volume vs. efficency.

We'll see which wins out.

The Rockets are the second most efficient team in the league, right behind the Warriors based on TS%.

Rockets use volume + efficiency.

I would agree that this strategy gives the rockets their best chance to beat the warriors. This is what they are setup to do. However, I just don't believe that this is the best strategy to beat the warriors. I doubt anybody will beat them, but if they do, I would imagine it is because of sound defense and dominating inside.

The warriors want teams to try to play at their pace and try to outshoot them.

What would be really funny, like in football, two high power offenses turn into a defensive game.

I know it will not happen. The only way these two have a defensive grind is if both teams are off.

even though it would be nice to Boom melt if the Rockets do not make the WCF, I want the Rockets to make the WCF because that could be a great series.

Correct this gives THEM the best chance to beat the Warriors. But yeah, I general attacking their weakness inside is probably a better strategy, and you have to have the personnel to do so.

This strategy likely won't beat the Warriors, but I respect them for trying something.

well we can always count on draymond green getting angry and kicking someone in the nuts, so he'll get suspended for something im sure giving the rockets a little edge. Our bench has more firepower than the warriors as well. As for durant and curry, they're the best 1-2 punch in the league but if ever there was a good matchup defensively its ariza and bev.

How many games did he miss in the Western Conf Playoffs last season?

Question for you, Houston is likely to get the 2-3 seed, right? So if thats the case, the only time they might have to match up with GS is in the WCF. How does that strategy match up with any other potential matchups before that?
