5th arm surgery and then back surgery (if either happens) does he miss most of training camp? Especially since speculation is back surgery would take place 3/4 weeks after arm (having 4th this week so 5th probably would t be till next month correct?)
Even without any more surgerys i dont think hed do too much preseason/camp work but he should be go to go for week 1
Rotoworld posted the tecovery for all this is 10 weeks and week 1 is 16 weeks away, so he could probably play in training camp but theyll likely be cautious with him

That's even with 5th arm surgery and back? Or just assuming the 4th surgery is his final one?

I think thats with the 4th arm surgery and the back surgery
Doctors are confident the 5th arm surgery wont be needed but you never know. Thats the thing that would make his week 1 status unknown

@TheFakeESPN: Gronk set for 4th arm surgery, doctors say he'll be able to return to double-fisting Bud Light Platinums by start of training camp.

This just doesn't look good, even if it doesn't actually bother him...

Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski will have a fourth arm surgery on Monday. But that’s three days away. OK, two days and change. Still, that’s time for plenty of living. And Gronk will be living it up one more time in Las Vegas. Jumpseat.me, a jet-sharing service, circulated an email late Friday afternoon offering four seats on the private plane that will take Gronkowski a teammate to Nevada. “This Saturday night, share a cabin and fly privately with Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman from Boston to Las Vegas for a last minute get away before Gronk goes for yet another surgery,” the email explains. “This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to spend time with a living Patriots legend. Gronk is offering 4 seats in the cabin.” While there’s no reason to believe that Gronkowski’s penchant for partying caused or contributed to the infection that invaded his arm following his second surgery, he’s contributing to a perception that, if he would back off on the shirtless slam dancing and everything that goes along with it, he’d be healthy by now.

The partying has nothing to do with it thats just them looking for page hits

Jetting off to party 2 days before surgery just doesn't even look right. Just from the appearance of it, it appears he wants to party and have fun more than taking it easy before surgery. Now that is purely just the way it is being perceived and he isn't helping the case

Bump. Infection gone. League fricked

Profootballtalk.com reports the lingering infection has cleared from Rob Gronkowski's arm, and his new plate was installed during Monday's surgery. Gronkowski emerged from surgery Monday afternoon. The new plate will continue to hold together the fracture in his left forearm, which was surgically repaired four times because of complications due to the infection. Gronkowski is now expected to undergo back surgery in 3-4 weeks, the recovery timetable for which will last roughly ten weeks. He's still got a good chance to get in some late-training camp time, and be all systems go for Week 1 at Buffalo.

In other words, they were able to rid Gronk of chlamydia from his arm without additional surgeries.
