Belk has informed Charlotte Sports Foundation it will not renew its contract as title sponsor of Charlotte's bowl game and kickoff game, per source. Contract expires after next month's Belk Bowl. Belk became bowl game sponsor in '11.

There will be 7-9 bowls looking for new sponsors by mid January if not sooner. Many of the contracts are on the same time frame with the contracts and tie-ins with the conferences.

Never forget Jeremy sprinkle.

He shoplifted from -- of all places -- a Belk department store in Charlotte, North Carolina, even though each player on Sprinkle's Arkansas team and opponent Virginia Tech had a $450 gift card to spend there.

Isn’t Belk like the equivalent of a Marshall’s/ TJ Maxx?

You're missing out. It's the GOAT department store. Of course the "fancy folks" here will say it's for rednecks. But it has always been my go-to store.
