From what I've been lead to understand, he hates the Boston media and is still pissed at the fans for throwing him under the bus his injury ridden year.

A good first half and they'll be all over his jock again.

I like Salty, but he will swing at anything.

I never thought I'd see the day when the Blue Jays were considered the team to beat.

Missed the late 80's and early 90's eh?

I was born in 1988. While I was going to Red Sox games as a kid, it took a while to actually figure out what I was watching.

I just posted that the Red Sox are finally a likeable team after the last couple of years.

Pretty soon the Celtics will be too.

I have a feeling the C's are in for a big make over. I think the Sox were due for one too and have started this year. I have faith in both front offices.

Both franchises demand relevant/wining teams

The Red Sox just lost their shite after 2007 and started overpaying anybody with a pulse in effort to outspend the Yankees. They lost all common sense, and even though they had Pedroia and Big Papi, they were just so fricking unlikeable as a team.

I wish Yanks had brought up kids rather than go with Wells, Overbay, and Francisco

It's going to be interesting in Boston when the Red Sox start sucking. There is so much youth there that a combined slump will happen. You will have media members out for blood, even though most common sense fans know that we're shooting for 2015 on.

Agreed, I was in love with the '03 '04 and '07 teams. '08-'12 teams left a bad taste in my mouth. I was sad to see Theo go but I knew it was for the best. The Bobby V hire almost made me give up hope on the ownership but thankfully we righted the ship this off-season.

Yep. Going to be better than last season and more fun to watch, but a win or two against Yankee backups is going too get people to excited.

Still the worst hire I've ever seen. It'll be an ESPN 30 for 30 before the end of this decade.
