The 1994 PSU team had it all.

Those WV-Louisville games in 05-06 were hype AF

Rutgers was a good team that year. I think Jeremy Ito hit a FG to win it.
He missed his first chance but got another after an offside penalty then made the winner.

I’d like to throw 2000 Oregon State into this thread. The Beavers finished 11-1 and throttled Notre Dame 41-9 in the Fiesta Bowl. Jonathan Smith, Ken Simonton, Ocho Cinco, and Houshmandzadeh were on that offense.
They had a legit claim to be in the BCS title conversation. FSU got in to face OU. The Noles lost to Miami, whose lone loss was to Washington. Washington was a 1-loss team as well, and that was Oregon State’s only loss. Crazy year...

The team that I will remember that will be forgotten over time is 2010 Alabama. Just loaded to the gills with talent. Decimated by injuries. The capitol one bowl that year was the best I’ve ever seen a college football team play. Men against boys

1971 Michigan went unbeaten and gave up just 71 points the whole year but list in those bowl to Stanford 13-12.

1983 Auburn is another one. They beat 5 ranked teams to finish the season but got jumped in the polls by the Canes beating Nebraska. That Auburn team had a fantastic wishbone backfield with Bo, Lionel James and Tommy Agee.

Homer but I actually think the 2013 MSU team that won the rose bowl vs Stanford was far superior to the 2015 playoff team. Too bad for the loss at ND and Connor Cook didn't start playing until that game.

12-0 with 11 shutouts including 5 shutouts in 6 days against Texas, Texas a&m, lsu, Tulane, and ole miss
people still talk about that team 120 years later. I think it's safe to say they haven't been forgotten

2003 Oklahoma. Through their first 11 games, they looked like the best team to ever step on a college football field. In their last two, they looked very average. They didn't play a great schedule but the team that beat Texas 65-13 and Oklahoma State 52-9 was not the same team we saw against Kansas State and LSU.
Regular season SOS 2003:
Oklahoma 4
USC 65
LSU 72

not sure where you're getting these numbers. I can't find a "regular season" only SOS, but the final season SOS for those teams was
LSU 28
OU 39
USC 19
I highly doubt that the BCS title game and the Rose Bowl for USC caused that much of a swing for the three teams.

2014 TCU:
This was great because I believe the Big 12 had just started using the "one true champion" slogan either that year or only a few years prior and that was their big thing. Everyone plays everyone so we know who's the champion. Only for them to have a split champion between Baylor and TCU . I remember Art Bryles was absolutely livid.

2001 Miami
Do you mean 2002 Miami that lost to Ohio State because of that PI bullshite and McGahee getting hurt? Because 2001 Miami is often talked about as being one of the best teams of all time

I got OU's SOS at #3 at the end of the season. By most metrics, OU had a tougher schedule than the others; that's why five of the seven BCS computers had OU at #1 on Selection Sunday.

So LSU’s SOS went from 72 to 19 with one game and OU’s went from 4 to 39 playing LSU? Find that hard to believe, which is why I asked you to provide a source for your numbers. OU only had 1 loss on selection Sunday, just like LSU and USC. It wouldn’t take a lot to keep them #1 in a computer poll. And I don’t dispute that they may have had a tougher SOS by some metrics, but I do doubt LSU’s and USC’s being as low as you posted.

1969 LSU. Went 9-1 and gave up less than 600 rushing yards the WHOLE YEAR. Lost by three at Love Miss which cost them a shot at a possible NC.

Yep. They were pretenders and most of us knew it.
