You would be surprised. Kobe fans can't ever concede that Shaq was a better player.

I don't care what anyone says, Shaq was more important to that team than Kobe
MJ was also more important to the bulls than scottie

My personal theory is that Kobe couldn't handle being second banana to him and that's why that team was broken up
and shaq couldn't handle that kobe was starting to take a large role on the team

Shaq in his prime is the only player in the NBA to be pretty much unstoppable

Yep. Not to mention that Shaq was wanting nearly $30m per year and basically forced management's hand to decide between them. I think Buss/Mitch made the right call going with the 25 year old over the 32 year old.

I hold it against Duncan that he never could beat a great Lakers team. In fact, San Antonio was thoroughly dominated by Kobe and/or Shaq led Lakers most years.

The only Lakers teams that SA could beat once PJax arrived were dysfunctional, injury riddled teams that limped into the playoffs as a lower seed (2003,2013)

So 1999 and 2003 weren't great teams because they lost to SA in the semis? 2013 wasn't close to being a contender, so it doesn't count.

Uh the 2013 laker team had such a huge array of injuries that happened a week or two before the playoffs began that it's not even funny
