Well, Brees certainly wasn't the one giving up 40+ points and a perfect QB rating to Kirk Cousins.

Like at the beginning of the year when he was 31st in passer rating, only ahead of Peyton Manning?

ETA: Rankings Luck 4th after the year he's had is pretty damn funny considering all the insults you've been dropping - dumbfricks, too stupid to talk sports with, laughably retarded, moron, etc.

Why is that?

He'll throw for yards and even TDs but as he gets older his interception count will increase.

He has always been a QB that throws a good bit of interceptions. But he was better in post season play as well. 24:6 TD to INT ratio in the post season is incredible.

He played fine against the Redskins. He had one INT that was on him, the other went right off Marques Colston's stone hands and into a Redskin's players bread basket.

I was in the woods camping for the Texans game so not sure what the frick happened there, but it looks like he did not play well and I won't make excuses for that.

Yea but every team has shortcomings, Cam doesn't have any WRs, Russ doesn't have WRs either. The title of this thread could've been "rank these qbs from favorite to least favorite".

We don't know how he would've turned out the rest of the season. He played very well against a top 2 defense in the league and beat them. He is more than capable. He threw 40 TDs last year and had an exceptional season. His first 3 years in the league were improvements each season. This year he did start off rough, but I believe he would've ended the year solid had he of been healthy. We will never know though.

It's not about shortcomings excusing a QB's performance. I wouldn't put Brees fist on that list right now. You were implying that the Saints lost the Redskins game because Brees had a poor performance, which is absolutely untrue, as Kirk Cousins stat line proves.

Ben Roethlisberger
Russel Wilson
Cam Newton
Drew Brees
Jay Cutler
Matt Ryan
Jay Cutler
Phillip Rivers
Andrew Luck
Matt Stafford

I'm assuming they're all healthy...but really after the top 4 it's a crap shoot

I looked at it as each of these guys having a playoff caliber team. I did rank Big Ben first. I value experience in these situations. Experience + past performances. I could see Newton moving up on my list with a nice playoff run (he has the team around him, and they SHOULD win the NFC with how good the defense is), but I still wouldn't take him ahead of guys that have won it all: Ben, Wilson and Brees... because A) I believe they are better QBs and B) They have shown more (won titles)

If that's not fair, well then I dunno.

It was a big game and he didn't play well enough to say "Hey that's the guy I want to start a big game for me" imo. Then in the next big game (an even bigger one) he didn't get his team into the end zone.

So 15 touchdowns in not even half a season. HIs last game was his best of the year, which he could've built on. We don't know how it would've turned out.

The denver d gave Rodgers the worst game of his career, Luck played very well against them. Something had been off with Luck all season and he played against very good to great defenses like BUF, NYJ, NE, CAR, DEN in 5 out of his 7 games

He would've had ATL, TB, PIT, JAX, HOU, MIA and TN left to play, none of which would I say are better than the 5 defenses above. Kinda hard to judge a guy off of 7 games, 5 of which against some of the best defenses in the league, when I am pretty sure he had been hurt since either the 2nd or 3rd game.

'Right now' Brees hasn't looked too hot in his teams last 2 big games and now the team has no shot at the playoffs.

No shot isn't quite accurate. I used the Playoff Machine and found a path. If we win our last four games we finish 8-8. Under that scenario, we just need the Browns OR Rams OR Ravens to upset Seattle and we're in. (That assumes the better team wins the other games.)
