Is legit. He is a very solid and athletic QB...they were talking about him last night..he is like a mathematics genius . Thats how he can process reads so well. I think the saints should snag him as a back qb next yr..bye jameis...considering brees is retired. Did yall see that run and dive to the endzone?...jesus

He had a good game
He still sucks, and will never be a starter in the NFL
Happy to see him play well. Happier the Bucs won

He balled out last night but let's pump the brakes on crowning him the next Chase Daniel

I’ve seen this story before, he’ll be back to being training camp fodder in a year

I mean he definitely looked a lot more poised than a lot of back up QBs I’ve seen. Did an amazing job moving in the pocket then escaping when I thought the Bucs had him dead to rights several times.

Yeah let's pump the brakes a tad. There is a reason why he was out of the league for a bit.
Saying that, it's good to see a local kid do good. He's from Suwanee, 25 miles NE of Atlanta in Gwinnett County.

Matt Flynn made MILLIONS doing what Heinche did last night

No Matt Flynn made millions by throwing 6 TDs in a game after being a backup for years in Green Bay.
Heinke is nowhere near that

He did that in Week 17 in a meaningless game against the Lions.
Heinicke balled against a very good Tampa Bay defense without knowing he was going to start until yesterday afternoon.

He also went toe to toe with Brady on primetime before that.

His play style resembles Russell Wilson. Runs around, extend plays, gets knocked around.

He’s essentially Gardner Minshew. Had some good games filling in but once teams have film he will go back to being just a backup at best. But yea he did have a solid game last night.

Well it seems as fast as his star shined, the cancel culture found his pro-Trump/MAGA background on Twitter so he's sure to become an unsigned free agent in the off-season. Football is done.

I thought he played pretty good......

Bosa, Josh Allen, Jake Fromm, even Brady, probably a lot more. This isn't the death sentence you think it is, someone is going to look at that Carolina game and the Bucs game and he'll get signed as a backup somewhere at least. Twitter has a short memory, remember when Joe Burrow even had controversial tweets?

The Saints need to stop worrying about "snagging backup QBs". They need to snag Brees' replacement.

Tyler was lights out! If not for several drops his stats would have been even better. He threw some dimes last night!

You should pick him in your fantasy league next year then.

I don't think I could handle all the "witty" Heineken jokes full time. The sports radio guys thought they were real clever this morning.
