Safe to say Dallas is coming back down to earth, losing 5 of their last 6.

Namestnikov is starting to come into his own. This is good after the Lightning's scoring woes this season. They've had trouble finding the back of the net but hopefully the Lightning can finish the 2nd half of the season strong. Going to be a crazy race for playoff spots this season.

Go Lightning !!!!!

Lecavalier scored his first goal for LA.

Pretty sad end to a good career.

I mean, this was always an organized troll job. I wasn't outraged he made the squad or anything, nor am I outraged the NHL has worked to make it so he can't play in the game. But the fans have proven that they shouldn't have the vote, which is why we can;t have nice things. I am a bit irritated with my fellow hockey fans for acting like assholes, and now trying to pretend this was never about being assholes.
So? It's a fake game of players skating half-speed and not making contact. Scott playing in it would have been the lone interesting thing in the entire game. Scott himself was looking forward to being in the game.

Instead, the NHL decided for the nuclear option, had Scott traded and sent down, wiped the fan vote off the map, and come out if this looking like even larger pieces of shite, which I didn't think was possible for Bettman.

2-2.

Subban and Max for MTL. Fabbri and Parayko for STL.

Don't forget that the players are going for a huge cash prize by winning the tournament, so it's not like the pro bowl or the nba all star games that are completely pointless. Ultra shitty that Scott is voted a captain then not eligible because of a trade.

Ultra shitty.

fix is in, in montreal

might be one of the worst officiated games in a long time. 7 pp's in 2 periods for habs.

it's Elliot vs the refs, and so far he's kept it tied

Who cares? If you don't like the people that fans vote for, THEN DONT LET THE FANS VOTE FOR THE ALL STARS. Otherwise you get the end result of looking like a bunch of morons running a pro wrestling show instead of the top tier sports league dangling a million bucks in front of your players.
